4/10 Poor

If going, go with the mentality to comprehend that the resort is old. They do need to renovate everything. The food is very basic and they tend to put the same food day after day if not consumed. They cook with a lot of oil. The key cards are constantly not working, so prepare to go often to the lobby to have it fixed. They are clean for the most part and the staff is nice and fun.

But they fixed it right away. Resort definitely clean. Beach is BEAUTIFUL. They got the best Sunset. Food was good, staff are DEFINITELY AMAZING! Pool bartenders was the best! They are sooo hood on making drinks and they are very friendly and so entertaining! I love our new found amigos Juan & Ronal :) all in all i'd come back to this resort again and definitely would recommend to fam and friends♥️ Thank you to all Bahia Principe El Portillo.

It was amazing the place...Great staff, great entertainment group and overall a great place.....the place is not to big, not to small..Just right...the vibes were good for all.parties.. The Buffet was good One thing possible to fix, were the la carte restaurants..Although the cuts of meats were ok, I feel they can do better. But the Italian restaurant was great.

The staff, food, pool, bars, and beach were absolutely perfect!!! The only issues we had were with the rooms. They’re very outdated and some of the stuff in the bathroom were falling apart or not clean enough. Our jetted tub in our room definitely needs replacing as it was very dirty. They’re also only 1 outlet in between the bed for charging electronics so take that into consideration.

You don’t get not even close for what you pay. So over priced for what you get . The worse was , I made reservations and they confirmed it but when I got to the place I had to pay 580us extra. So many other scam they got going on there but I’m not going to get in to it .. all you gotta know the place sucks for the money I paid and when you get there you don’t get all the amenities they promised it felt like a scam
