Best Equiped House

House was wonderful. Best equiped house we have ever stayed in. We've been coming to the Outer Banks for 30 years. The beds were comfortable the kids loved the volleyball court and the hammock downstairs. The neighborhood was very quiet

Spring Getaway

We had an amazing time!! The property was so nice and the surrounding area was the cutest! We loved the quick access to the beach and quiet location of the home. The recommendations provided by the host were amazing as well!! We visited the aquarium, waves deli market, uglie mugs coffeehouse, the lighthouse and so many sweet spots on the island! Thank you so much for hosting, we highly recommend this location!

Family vacation

We loved the house! It was clean, stocked well with everything you need! Short walk to beach! My family loved all the activities to do at the house! Would definitely stay at this house again! The host was very helpful and responds quickly!

Fantastic Beach House

This house was perfect for our New Year's Eve weekend. It had plenty of space for our 14-person group, with a giant TV in the living room, beautiful views of the neighborhood and ocean, a short walk to the beach, and a great hot tub. We loved our stay here!!

Perfectly Imperfect Getaway

Our trip was slightly foiled by a passing storm/tropical depression. The house sustained some minor wind damage but Sushma did everything in her power to ensure we were checked in, comfortable and safe. This house is a very short walk to the beach and has views for days!

2023 Family Vacation

Fantastic home for multi family vacation!

This home was perfect for our 3 families. Plenty of space for 7 kids ages 12-16, all of us parents, and 2 dogs. We swam in the pool every day and hung out in the screened-in lower floor every night. Very short walk to beach for sunrise and sound for sunset. Shushma is an excellent host, responded immediately to my every question and request. Could not have asked for more. This home is great for guests with full function & stregnth but could be a challenge for guests that struggle with stairs - the kitchen and main living space is on the top floor. There is a dumbwaiter but no elevator. This was our first time to OBX so this setup might be typical but it was a suprise to us. We did fine (worked off the ridiculous amounts of ice cream we ate from the shoppe down the road) but it was a bit of a challenge for my older parents that stayed in a separate property to come over for visits/meals. But we made it work. Overall a really wonderful time and we are already talking about coming back. Will stay here again. Thank you Shushma!

Great week

We had a great week at this property! It was clean and well stocked. The bedrooms and bathrooms were perfect for our situation. The living space upstairs was large enough for all of us to gather and enjoy. The pool was very nice and our kids (big and little) enjoyed it very much! The porches on every level gave us lots of options to be outside and enjoy the weather. The one drawback was the shortcut to the beach is posted, No Trespassing, so that added a bit more time to walk to the beach. Overall a wonderful week!

Beautiful clean house, with lots of extras

Everything was great, the house was very nice and clean. Weather was chilly so the heated pool and hot tub came in very nice. A little far from the beach but not bad 15 minute walk. Pool table and volley ball court was fun. Everything stocked up for what you need. Owner was very informative and helpful. Would definitely stay here again. Also a short walk to the sound pier behind the house for beautiful sunsets.

Nicest house I've ever rented

The host was awesome to deal with the house was extremely clean had everything that we forgot she thought of everything in the house right down to the coffee dishwashing detergent paper towels everything you can need the bed was super comfortable I have no complaints and that's a first

Great for a group!

With two families with teens and older, this was a great place to stay. Very well equipped, lots of bath towels, paper products, kitchen well equipped and had just about everything you needed for making a big dinner. We enjoyed the pool, the pool table, and the volleyball court. Loved the screen porch- plenty of room to unwind. Host was great and extremely responsive to any questions. Would definitely come back to this property.

July Vacation

The property is beautiful! Plenty of room for everyone and lots of entertainment. The game room with the pool table was a big hit and the outdoor pool was so nice to have. The beach is a bit of a walk, so you may want to have wagons or get dropped off if you're headed there with a lot of stuff and/or kids. Sushma was very responsive throughout the entire stay, which we were all very appreciate of. Salvo is about a half hour away from the "big" grocery stores, so you probably want to bring a haul with you or stop there on your way in to avoid having to double back. Overall, a great vacation!!

Great location, great amenities..

Our family and extended family totaling 10 (including 3 young children) really enjoyed our week here. Plenty space for all of us and then some. The location is perfect to get to Nags Head area or Ocracoke easily, while also having restaurants, shops, entertainment locally as well. The views of the sound from the decks are breath taking. There were actually more amenities at the house than in the description (high chair, more beach and pool stuff, badminton set, volleyball , etc), which was a pleasant surprise. As others have said, don’t be surprised be the house swaying some in the wind (don’t worry, it’s nothing like a boat in the ocean); it’s suppose to and is typical with houses on Hatteras Island. The luggage lift was very handy too. We had some very minor issues the cleaning crew didn’t complete (so minor I’m not even going into detail about them), and I simply wanted the host to be aware of. The host offered to alleviate the minor issues by going above and beyond my expectations. The host was extremely responsive before, during, and after our stay. One of our most memorable vacations as an extended family!

Vacation Highlights

Sushma is a superb host. She contacted me within a day of any questions I had prior to our visit. Once there she greeted me with a welcoming message and checked in with us via messages to insure we were enjoying our stay. The house is beautiful and it accommodated our family of 10 wonderfully. Big family OBX vacation

This was a great house for a big family vacation! There’s plenty of space for everyone. We LOVED the screened area for evening relaxation and family game nights! So many activities for entertainment… pool, games, basketball, volleyball. The kitchen was well stocked with all your needs to making big meals. The house was clean and the furniture was comfortable. The outdoor shower was also a bonus. They even had soaps and starter items. The owner was very attentive and reached out to be sure we enjoying ourselves! I definitely recommend the house and location. I hope to stay again soon!

Great centrally located home away from home

Amazing house with a view of the sunset from the balcony. Room for my family and my brother in law's family! The house is halfway between Nag's Head and Hattaras, so day trips either way work well. The beer fridge in the game room was perfect for the adults, and the kids loved the pool. Ice cream shop and kayak rentals are a short walk away. The beach is in walking distance, but make sure you have footwear. The pavement is hot and has lots of rocks. Would definitely stay there again. Just be ready to walk up and down a lot of stairs, and don't freak out when you feel the house swaying a little bit when you are sitting down.

Everything as advertised

We had an absolutely fantastic time here. The house was perfect for what we needed, very spacious with lots of rooms and bathrooms for a large family. We were extremely happy to have a pet friendly place - they even had doggy treats and pet cleaning solution in case of accidents. The beds were extremely comfortable and the rooms had everything we needed (extra sheets and bath towels). The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed, including small appliances. The lift was very useful to have; it allowed us to place heavy luggage and groceries to bring up to the top floor. The decorations and color scheme were fun, beautiful, and tranquil. The house was stocked with body wash, shampoo, conditioners, laundry detergents, hand soap, and dish washer detergent (the Dollar General is just down the road if you need anything but it was not necessary to buy things other than food.) The down stairs patio was a great place to hang out - we were able to use floats and boogie boards for our kids to use while in the pool as they are learning how to swim. There is an outdoor shower which was very convenient for us when we came back from the beach, just down the road. One of our favorite parts about this place was the view of the bay. Whenever we had questions, the owner was very quick to respond. Overall, we enjoyed our time here and recommend this house for anyone that has a large group and pets. We look forward to booking here in the future again!
