One of many happy stays at the Ellerby Consistently excellent staff, helpful and friendly. Set in a tiny village with superb access to Runswick Bay and the coastal routes along this coast.

The staff might just be the friendliest in Great Britain. It made the stay a delight and we used the great conservatory space to watch a Christmas movie with our little one. Great food and great beer/wine. You need a car to access all the local things (Runswick Bay/Whitby/Scarborough/Moors) but we will come back each year as we love it.

An absolute little gem of a place - our dog friendly room (No. 7) was really lovely - very homely and immaculately clean. The staff are super friendly, helpful and really go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. Our evening meal by the cosy fireplace was absolutely faultless - proper home cooked comfort food, and the breakfast equally as good too. Wish we could have stayed longer - highly recommend and will absolutely be back.

We felt like family

Our stay at the Ellerby was fantastic, we were made to feel very welcome, the food was excellent and our bedroom was great and a very comfortable bed. We would definitely stay here again

We stayed here for a family wedding at Danby Castle, 9 miles away. A lovely place, perfect location. Clean, comfortable with friendly staff who made us feel very welcome. Great breakfast with plenty of choice. Would definitely recommend & stay here again.

Relaxing stay

Lovely relaxing stay,food great, breakfast was really filling with plenty of choice. Room was comfy and clean, well stocked with tea/coffe and water. Staff really friendly and helpful, small village but central to coast and moors. Definitely stay again.
