Good location, good room, good price. What's not to like? Nice park across from the hotel. We enjoyed Salta, too. Pleasant city. I would consider taking the small-gauge train to the Andes, if I had had more time.

Had been staying in another establishment which was below par . Went online found a special for the Alejamdro. Overlooking the square in Salta . three of the BEST days of Our trip . It had wonderful rooms .. food .. pool and Gym AND spa. we booked a private Pilates lesson and loved it. beds were divine .. decor sensational . As for the Doorman .. delightful AND helpful

Only stayed here for one night but had a very good experience :) The hotel is in the centre of Salta Town. Our room was on the 7th floor and we had a fantastic view from the huge windows in our bedrooms. The hotel has a very hot swimming pool which was lovely for relaxing in. There is also a gym, sauna and steam room. Breakfast was very good. Lots of choice. Highly recommended!

We've stayed in Alejandro I in Salta for 3 nights but spent our days on long excursions so. We were in a room on the 10th floor with the view to the mountains for 2 nights and a room on the 7th floor with the view of the street. Prefer the first one. The location of the hotel is perfect, walking distance to the restaurants, bars, local square and the few attractions worth seeing. Even though the hotel is in need of an update, we found many pluses like the beautiful views from both sides of the hotel, very comfortable rooms, great beds and absolutely lovely service! Everyone was super friendly and helpful, very professional as well. We appreciated finding a fresh fruit plate each afternoon in our room. The minuses are that the carpets were unfortunately dated and stained and there was mold in the shower hence no five star rating. Hope these can be easily fixed and the standard will go up.

Wonderful stay. Staff are friendly and helpful. This is a modern hotel with lovely rooms, wonderful views of the city and excellent service. Very well located for the town itself and the train to the clouds too. Free car parking a real bonus. Highly recommended.

Centrally located, this is a great business hotel, although I was not there for business. The rooms have 220 volt electricity. The elevator ride to the rooms is beautiful, as one of side is glass and you see the courtyard and downtown. The hallways are decorated with touches of Anden heritage. The room is spacious, and they have thought of everything hair dryer, safe deposit box, mini bar, and full length mirror. The bathroom has both a bathtub and shower, and even a bidet. The bed is comfortable, and the linens ...amazing. Included in our rate was breakfast, which consisted of fruits, cereals, yogurt, assorted pastries, assorted breads, eggs, too much to recant all that was available. They also have an indoor pool, gym, and provide massages. We choose to have a massage, and was greatly disappointed. The goal of a massage as I see it is to relax the client. The massage room was next to the pool and you heard all the commotion going outside. The lights were kept on, instead of dimming them. There was no soft playing music. And frankly the ladies giving the massage did a rush job and were not exactly friendly. A different contrast with the rest of the hotel personnel staff that were friendly and eager to help.

We decided to stay in Salta at Alejandro I Hotel and made it our base for our tours instead on sleeping in different city. We stayed there for 7 nights. The hotel is centrally located and walking distance to restaurants, Main Square, Train Station and most city attractions. Very happy that we selected to stay central. Good size hotel room. Was very comfortable. Bathroom was also a good size. Breakfast had plenty of choices and open early enough so we could eat before going on a tour and late enough for our days of relaxation. Staff were very kind and speaking English each time we interacted with them. Christian at the tour desk was very helpful assisting us with Private tour to Cafayate and Bus Tour to the Salinas Grandes. We booked ourselves prior coming to Salta our Tren a Las Nubes excursion. Was great quality for the price we paid and since it was centrally located made it the perfect place to stay. I would definitely go back!

Perfect location, very well run hotel with helpful English speaking staff. Rooms are large and luxurious with nice toiletries and very comfortable beds, with nice linen. Great views from top floor rooms and the best breakfast we have had so far in Argentina. Highly recommend

Very friendly stuff, especially the door men. The rooms need an update and a bit of maintenance. Breakfast was average, restaurant good. Additional advantage: free parking. Overall a nice atmosphere, not 5 star anymore, but fitted all our needs.

Not the first time I come to this hotel. I always ended up being given an extremely poorly located room very noisy with loud neighbours. You can hear everything they say and hear people dragging furniture around. Not pleasant at all to be woken up in the middle of the night by yelling guests and slamming doors. Not a 5 star hotel by Australian standard. Not even a kettle in the room. Food is ok. Nothing extraordinary. Staff is nice.
