We were at the very top - there is a service lift, but you still have to climb a narrow staircase after the ride. We are fit, but would not be good for elderly, large or infirm - especially if you are carrying cases or large luggage. Hotel should have been better for the price. Faded and resting on old laurels I reckon.
We booked this hotel in march 2017 and we even received confirmation of our room three days before we arrived. But we did not get the room booked and I would not recommend this hotel. We did receive a cost reduction but this does not improve the quality of the hotel
I travel for work almost every week and I've stayed in some interesting locations however this place takes the award for the worst. The pictures online seem fake - my room was dirty, old and disgusting. There were stains on the beds, carpet, walls and sheets. There was no hot water in the hotel either. Stay ANY WHERE else but here or drive 45 minutes to another hotel if nothing else is available in Deventer. This place is NOT an option. Unless you're looking for the "hostel" life - do NOT stay here.
After having spent a pleasant time here, my partner realized he had left his running watch in his room - when we rang for help, nearly 10 days later, the staff were incredibly kind and had it posted to Paris on the same day, for him to be able to run the marathon - they really have been amazing!
Wonderful setting in the centre of a beautiful medieval city. The guy at reception was fantastic. So friendly and efficient. An absolute asset to the hotel. The hallway with its magnificent wood. Stained glass en stone was spectaculair. The rooms were big. The breakfast had plenty of choice. Could not have stayed in a better place.
Very nice hotel. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the garden. I think that in spring and summer it will be lovely to sit out there. The bed was very comfy, the bathroom a little outdated. I would certainly go there again!
Great location. Friendly staff. We were upgraded and had a great room in attic. We were happy with the silent airco as it was 30c outside. Breakfast was ok but nothing special. Recommended parking is close to the hotel. Don't forget to get a parking card from hotel when you leave.
As part of a walking weekend (Marskramerpad) stayed the night in the Fletscher hotel. Booked it last minte without special expectations, but was pleasantly surprised! The interior- decoration is beatifull/historical - the location ideal and the staff makes you feel as a real guest. This will be my hotel again when visiting Deventer.
This historic building has been sympathetically renovated into a comfortable hotel. The interior is full of wonderful detail and outside there is a shady courtyard for coffee and drinks. It is centrally located but in a pedestrianised area so the nearest car parking is a 5 mins (or more) walk away. The hotel do not offer to help with luggage (or pay for parking) so bear this is mind if you have heavy bags! Our room at the top of the hotel was spacious and the beds were comfortable but there was a distinct and lingering smell of drains in the bathroom. We reported this and they promised to deal with it, but I don't think this was a new problem.
This hotel is a nice old building in the city center of Deventer. The history is very clear to see. The room we had was good and the breakfast had a lot of choice. The staff was friendly. It is a nice hotel to stay.
