House is walking distance to downtown Salida. Very convenient to walk to shops and restaurants. It’s larger than it looks with nice and updated amenities. Beautiful view of the river. The bedroom I stayed in with my husband has a bed next to wall. I prefer beds where you can exit on both sides and larger bedrooms. Other than that there was room in living rooms and dining room. Great for a larger crowd which we had.

We enjoyed having a space for kids to watch tv separately from adults and plenty of beds. Even though it’s a small space it fit 7 people well. We did notice that the water in the showers never gets warm. It seemed there was a block on the hot water. With our stay in winter, the water was room temperature at best for showers. This might be a simple fix to help other visitors be more comfortable.

Great Location to Downtown and Bike Trails

The house had everything we needed. The location was great, allowing us the ability to easily walk downtown and access the mountain bike trails. The kids loved the backyard and view of the river.

We love this location and setup and have stayed here several times. Our only complaint this trip was the urine smell in both the front and back living areas. We all noticed it, even the four year old!

Perfect spot for family get away

We travelled to Salida with our 2 adult children for some time away. This house was great for the 2 kids to have their own space; the master was a little small but was nice and on the other side of the living area for a bit of privacy. The backyard was great for dinners and morning coffee looking at the river. It's an easy 3 block walk to town and a quiet neighborhood. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed; we used the grill to cook out 2 of the nights. We will certainly rent again if Salida ends up in our future plans again.

Great home right on river

This house was perfect for my husband and I and our dog. We will definitely be back! We loved that we could walk into town but the house was quiet and private enough to enjoy the river in the backyard

Great getaway

I really enjoyed the space and the amenities. My only piece of feedback is that the heating system was very loud and vibrated a lot. It was a cold weekend, so it was a busy little furnace!The backyard was incredible and I plan to stay here again very soon!

Pleasantly surprised!

we were pleasantly surprised with all the unadvertised ”extras” provided for guests, such as towels for the hot spring pool, doggy dishes, etc. The owners/management company were very responsive to all of our needs/requests. Thank you!

Perfect Place for Family & Friends in Salida

Easy check in. Excellent location in 5 min walking distance from downtown Salida. Home provided extra towels, small toys, and cozy space for us to spend the holiday weekend with friends and family. Would stay again!

Relaxing by the River

This was our first visit to Salida in the winter and it was very nice. Friendly community with lots of activities near by. The house was clean, comfortable and well stocked we would definitely stay here again.

Terrible beds

If you’re the kind of person that can sleep anywhere, then this property has a lot going for it and will probably be a good fit for you. But if comfortable beds ranks high on your list of priorities in a rental, then don’t stay here. The queen beds both have dips in them that make the beds lumpy, uneven and miserable to sleep in. The front queen bed also had two broken legs on the frame and made a loud creaking noise every time the occupants moved. The twin beds were fine if you don’t mind bunk beds. None of the adults got any sleep the two nights we were here. It was also hard for our young daughter to sleep because the kids room is right by the TV and the handle on the kids room door is broken so the door won’t stay shut. There are so many great things going for this property, it baffled me that sleeping arrangements and comfort were so low on their priority list!

Cute and fully stocked!

Pros: Clean with one exception below. Fully stocked-pleasant surprise as in past short term rentals had to purchase paper towels, toilet paper, soap, as not enough stocked. Plenty of room to spread out. Welcoming outdoor space and surprise visits from a buck,doe and fawn daily!!! More tv's than are needed. Short walk to downtown which has a riverwalk, playground for kids, and plenty of restaurants. Mountain views 360 from outside the home! Dog friendly, and our dog loved the yard and the dog beds provided (though she slept in her own crate). Cons: had a musty smell (not dog) so kept windows open most of the time though a bit chilly. Had an active spider web above the fridge and across the brick. Overall: great place, hope to stay there for future visits.

Good time in Salida

We came to Salida and met my daughter and her husband there. They fished everyday. We walked into town to enjoy some great food. A successful weekend getaway.
