I stayed at the Crowne Plaza resort in Oman. I’m glad I did not listen to family member to go to the Anantara. I got there around 7 am as my scheduled check In was 10 am. They had an open room and had accommodated me. I only waited for 10 minutes while they placed a welcoming fruits and Coconut Water in my room. In the evening they had also sent me the same welcoming gifts to my rom. On my last day, I went to the Dahriz beach where I got my vehicle stuck in the sand. I called the hotel to help me with calling a tow truck. The manager , Mr Raafat had came to the beach to assist me. He told me that tow trucks would not come into the beach and called a few of his friends. Two guys showed up at the same time with Toyota tundras and pulled me out. Mr Raafat did not have to come to my aide but I sure do appreciate him and his organization (Crowne Plaza Resort in Salalah, Oman) for the extra mile they go to make your stay a phenomenal experience. Thank you Mr Mohamed Raafat and team at Crowne Plaza Resorts in Salalah. You’re the best.
There's nothing wrong with this resort. But it's dated. Worn around the edges. But it's very comfortable. The public seating in the lobby is quite nice, with a lovely view. The staff are trained to a five star level. The rooms are fine, albeit the A/C a bit confusing-is it central or not? Could be a concern. The gym was totally usable for a quality workout. The pool waters are far too hot, which means no chilled water, which is the norm in many GCC five stars. In terms of price quality it's fine for the area and for Oman.
One of greatest highlight is the staff with their great service and warm hospitality. The location and the amenities deserve another thumbs up! I look forward to extend my stay on my next visit to this hotel.
The room was superb with a nice fruit plateau including to coco nuts with a straw to appreciate their juice. Nice sea view and the plantations. Generous breakfast that can be taken in- or outdoor. Perfect coffee taste and temperature. The staff was extremely professional and supportive. The hotel provided us wit a free shuttle to the airport.
I stayed in Crowne plaza Salalah for 9 days with my girlfriend. Our room 412 was with 2 big beds and perfect sea view. Balcony was perfect for morning coffe and evening drink :) Breakfast very very good, coconut water, many juices, lot of fruits and vegetable, hummus, bacon, hashbrown, eggs .... everybody can find out what prefers. Lunch also very good, perfect everyday fish, rice, potatos, pasta.... Dinner higlight of the day. Everyday different theme night at Dolphin restaurant near the beach : mexican, sushi, levantine, seafood, steakhouse. Staff quite ok, many of them are learning how to be good waiter. Little problems with english or german language but it was OK. Offer me job and I will come and help you with waitress staff, help with english/german language and learn you what tourists from Europe like and prefer :)
An excellent stay, charming, friendly and helpful staff, great service and atmosphere. Food was good. Room was very comfortable and kept immaculate by housekeeping. Front desk was particularly helpful in arranging airport pick up and drop with their courtesy bus. Great place to stay.
We stayed here last September, at the very end of the Kharif (monsoon). It was not too busy, and we had a good experience. The Pros: Great pools and kids area Easy access to a smallish beach Not too far away from town. Good, if not exceptional, service. The Cons: The resort feels dated, and very garish in the way it is done up The rooms are very far away from the lobby The food in general was not upto par. We tried the seafood buffet - and while the variety was good - the presentation and taste did not impress us. Similar experience at breakfast, and at the Ala Carte lunch - the food did not match the prices. The restaurants need a proper refurbishment to make them more comfortable and contemporary. The masseuse at the spa was good - but the massage room itself could be way better.
I was there for one week(6 nights) it was fantastically good and specially the staff, they are so nice to us. The breakfast was okay. The pool area also nice. I wanna give special thanks to Mr.Darshana (front office and the guy with a Sri Lankan smile) he guid ya very well and giving lots of advices and recommendations for our small tour. I wish your all the very best Mr.Darshana and all crowne plaza staff..
Very nice location near downtown and 10 mins away from the airport. The beach is amazing. We spent a lot of time at the pool. The hotel is child friendly. Our kids ready enjoyed the outdoor playground and the splash park. There is a complementary shuttle that picks you up from and to the airport with no charge so that’s a bonus. The staff are very nice and helpful. We enjoyed our time there. We’ll definitely come back.
We stayed 3 nights in the Crowne Plaza hotel. After the big disappointment of the 1st night when we saw the villas (very old with only one bathroom for 3 bedrooms), we were upgraded to the royal suite. Our stay was then excellent. We enjoyed the pool, the beach, the themed night at the Dolphin Restaurant, the spa and the earth hour... we celebrated our daughters and son in law birthdays and it was awesome. I recommend Crowne Plaza but choose a room in third or fourth floor. Skip the 1st floor. Breakfast was ok.
