As I spent 1.5 month, before this place at the City Center in Sal, I was advised to book a place at Vila Verde, if I preferred a more silent place. Dealing with a diagnosed, sleep disorder, on the positive side; If you search for an (extremely!) quiet place? Do go here! With that, the host(s) really seemed to try and fix things, from leaking airco to basic items, which were missing (but mentioned!). It took me 15 shops, going back to exactly the city center, to provide myself with it (*from toiletpaper to shampoo). Áfter that, the hosts came up with (as told, double/"no longer needed?!") products, which I suggested "Simply change, the online advertisement for others?". I literally got 30(!) mosquito bites in the 3 first days -despite all sprays and many times I was replied with: "This ain't a hotel!" (If I'd kindly asked about a second(!) set of towels/one extra tea-towel for 28 days?) Thát, I would have to pay 20 for(!?) which as well was never mentioned. As "an exception" (but partly!) got. I am a person who cán make a difference in between my own problems (*for example, being unable to catch the limited shuttle-bus schedule which I didn't know about) bút, travelled the world (from S-Africa to Indonesia for long periods), I had never faced so many insects out- ánd indoor! Fastly (from the leaking roof, airco's & the 'uncovered' balcony (with a lot of rain), I constantly was texting "in behalf of new guests". Summary: Don't recommend the stay no. Hopefully things improve.
