Great stoppover

We used the hotel as a stopover and it was easy to find from the motorway south. Parking right outside. Very pleasant couple running it and a nice restaurant. We left behind a purse of English money which they kindly emailed me about and we have organised its return. Very happy with that

A haven after a long day on the road!

The bathroom was minute but functional - luckily neither of us is overweight, or we may have had difficulties! The food in the restaurant was very good from starter to coffee. In a four-course menu, so often the main course will be excellent and the dessert hopeless, or vice versa. But here the whole meal was excellent from start to finish, and the pichet of wine was of a high quality too. The staff were charming, and once again were delighted to fill our thermos for us with excellent coffee, a smile, and no extra cost! Very good value for money. We will stay there again.

Quiet location

This is a comfortable hotel in a quiet village. However... it was not clear when we printed our booking form that when we arrived on a Sunday evening, we would need a code to get into the hotel. As there was no-one on duty we waited an hour and a half when, by chance, another visitor left the hotel and told us the code and that our name was on one of the doors. Once in, we were unable to access WiFi because it was switched off until Monday morning. We had checked that the hotel had a bar and restaurant, which were also closed. Very disappointing after a long day travelling.
