Gorgeous property and setting. Very limited and plain dinner menu. Very few staff speak English. Breakfast was best meal. Could use better coffee, more and creative and current dinner options. Everyone very friendly and quick to serve. Gym is dark and VERY tight. No running or bike paths possible. No kayaks on property. No outlets in bathroom. Housekeeping very skimpy on towels, but very clean. Everything looks well maintained. Pool could be better heated a little.

Coming from frosty New England, we only spent four days in Guadeloupe and just wanted to relax in warm temperatures. The Toubana was the perfect place for it and we only ventured out a couple of times to surrounding villages. We ended up having all our meals in the hotel, enjoyed its infinity pool and the private little beach, and our bungalow’s terrasse. We got a lot of reading and relaxation done! :-)) The hotel has a beautiful lounge area around the pool with breathtaking views of the ocean and surrounding islands, and Caravelle beach next door as well. The food was truly delicious, and the staff very nice and helpful. Our bungalow was just as described in the hotel’s website: a simple elegant bedroom w king bed, a modern bathroom, and a terrace with sea view. The Toubana Hôtel was the ideal place for us.

We actually rented a car and discovered the Island on our own. We were back to the hotel at night and did not use all the aminities offered. I wish the bathroom would have a closed shower cabin. The view on the bay from our bungalow was terrific, and the moon reflecting on the water, magic!
