Torre con encanto en una propiedad medieval, lago de pesca privado

Courceriers se encuentra en el noreste de Mayenne, cerca del pueblo de Saint-Thomas-de-Courceriers, que toma su nombre del sitio. Se puede acceder fácilmente desde los puertos del Canal, a cuatro horas en automóvil desde Calais y la terminal del Eurotúnel y a dos horas desde Caen. Cargada de historia, Courceriers fue el hogar del hombre prehistórico. También ha sido un campamento romano ("Corte del César"), un sitio importante en la Galia (el Imperio Romano galo) y una fortaleza medieval. Después de que esto fue saqueado por los ejércitos ingleses en 1419, se construyó un castillo en el sitio, que también se envió a la historia. Vivirás parte de esa historia cuando te quedes en la torre, todo lo que queda del castillo. A su alrededor hay recordatorios del glorioso pasado de los Courceriers: las enormes murallas de la fortaleza, las ruinas de la Fortaleza, el valle que fue represado e inundado por los romanos para mantener a raya a las hordas paganas, las casas señoriales y la capilla, construida en 1418, La Portail (la casa del guarda), construida en 1657, el antiguo molino ......

Lovely little lake

We booked to fish the lake as we often just go fishing in France and it’s tranquil and peaceful, the lake itself isn’t massive and you can hit most of it from the road side, as long as your good at casting! Fishing wise we caught every day smallest carp around 1lb up to 23lb, with 2 other carp at 22 & 20lb as well as quite a few upper doubles. Depths wise far bank 2ft road side 7-9ft, overall a really good place and worth visiting. The carp do take Bollie’s, we mainly used and caught on wafters semi buoyant bollie’s. Overall a lovely little place and very quiet as well.

Nous avons passé uns semaine merveilleuse. La petite tour historique est une merveilleuse maison tranquille dans un magnifique jardin naturel. La région offre de nombreuses possibilités de randonnées à pied et à vélo. Les hôtes sont extrêmement charmants et serviables. Nous y retournerions n'importe quand.

Rural France at it’s best

Get away from it all in a nutshell. So peaceful and relaxing. Very quaint gîte with lots of history, and planned out very well accommodating everything you need for a stress free stay and lovely hosts who are on hand if you need anything

A wonderful hide-away

Such a uniique property. Everything catered for in a small space so it didn't feel small. Sadly couldn't swim in the lak but found a lovely swimming lake at Sille Plage. Sophie and Damien were generous, helpful and friendly and our dog loved hanging out with theirs.

Erholsamer besonderer Urlaub

Wir haben einen sehr erholsamen Urlaub gehabt und haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt in dem Turm. Wir waren mit unserem Hund unterwegs. Das Grundstück war sehr geeignet für einen Urlaub mit Hund. Batka, der Hund, der dort lebt, hat uns und unserem Hund sehr viel Freude gemacht. Wer Ruhe und Erholung braucht, ist hier am richtigen Ort. Die Natur ist sehr schön und es gibt tolle Wanderwege. Aber auch um französische Kultur kennen zu lernen, ist dieses Urlaubsziel gut geeignet. Die Gastgeber haben uns mit ihrer Gastfreundschaft und ihren Tipps den Urlaub sehr angenehm gemacht. Der Turm ist sehr liebevoll gestaltet und mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. In der Ausschreibung steht, daß es dort einen Gemeinschaftspool gibt. Dies haben wir nicht so vorgefunden, war aber kein Problem. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt.

Une parenthèse hors du temps

Un vrai petit cocon que cette "Tour de Raiponce" en pleine nature et au beau milieu d'un ancien château médiéval ! Un étang où l'on peut naviguer en barque, un poulailler avec cueillette des oeufs à la clé, une terrasse tranquille où partager de bons repas. Accueil prévenant des propriétaires. Tout était parfait. Fantastische Unterkunft in historischen Gemäuern

Wir haben sehr erholsame Tage bei den überaus sympathischen Gastgebern Sophie und Damien in einer malerisch schönen Umgebung verbracht. Der historische Turm ist perfekt ausgestattet, die Betten super bequem. Für unsere Kinder waren die Hühner, Enten und das Fischerboot absolute highlights. Unser Hund Eddie hat mit Batka (den super lieben und treuen Hofhund) eine Freundschaft verbunden. Herzlichen Dank an Sophie und Damien für die schönen Tage Sandra, David mit Lucie, Henri und Eddie (unser Hund)

Außergewöhnlich

Du repos sans blablabla dans un cadre unique

Environment unique. Ma femme, mon chien et moi ;-) ont apprecié le silence, la nature. Là on trouve du repos. Il y a tout dans et autour de cette belle tour pour être heureux, heureusement sans luxe ni foules. Les hôtes sont très accueillants sans être envahissants. Wow!!!

Very warm welcome with a list of essentials waiting for us including a lovely cake. Property itself is simply stunning and the surroundings out of this world. Nice lake with a good head of carp quite happy to take a bait whenever you decide to give it a go. The Tower is a refurbished medieval bell tower equipped with a spiral staircase. Entertainment from UK TV to books and games including a full sized table tennis table!!! What more could you ask for!!!

What a find!

We had a fantastic stay at this very unique property. Sophie and Damien were the most wonderful hosts. We enjoyed our short stay here very much. We loved relaxing in the grounds and listening to the birds sing whilst having barbecues in the sunshine! The tower is very cleverly designed and has everything you need and more. Our dog loved exploring the gardens and playing with their wonderful dog. If only we could have stayed longer!

Un petit coin de paradis

Un lieu atypique et chaleureux. Des hôtes attentifs tout en restant discrets. Le calme de la campagne salvateur. Nous avons passé 5 jours avec nos deux enfants de 7 et 11 ans et notre petit chien dans la tour de Raiponse entre jeux de société et grandes balades. Il est très probable que nous y reviendrons

One of the mopst relaxing holidays we've ever had!

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we loved our French adventure. The bell tower was a fabulous and quirky accommodation choice, like nothing we've stayed in before. The calm and relaxed nature of the holiday offered us opportunity to really connect as a family whilst also offering a chance to row on the lake, paddle in local streams and explore local attractions; all whilst trying to improve our French. This was all set in the beautiful backdrop of rural France. What really made the holiday for us though was how welcome we were all (us, our 2 children and our dog) made to feel by our hosts Sophie and Damien and our four legged host Badka! We would totally recommend the Bell Tower to anyone looking to relax, enjoy something a bit different and gain a sense of feeling at home in a place that most likely feels very different from home.

Stunningly peaceful and charming.

We loved our stay in the tower, it was peaceful and quirky with everything you could possibly need. Winston our Sprocker spaniel loved the grounds where he could sniff out the most interesting smells. A great base for exploring the beautiful surrounding countryside and villages. Sophia and Damian were great hosts and we hope to return in the future.

Amazing week in a unique beautiful home

We had a fantastic week in this unique tower. It has been very cleverly designed and decorated. We had everything we needed, and more! Sophie and Damien are wonderful hosts, kind and very helpful! The property is in a beautiful rural setting with a lovely fishing lake. There are lots of lovely walks in the area, a stream to paddle in (& search for special blue stones), fishing, games etc...all on the property. We enjoyed going to the lake near Sille (with beach) and visiting local villages. We thoroughly recommend this wonderful gite!!
