Nestling in the spectacular Monts D'Ambazac (Limousin, Haute Vienne) and set on the edge of the beautiful historic village of Grandmont, Grandmont Gites offers three charming, stylish and cosy gites providing the perfect getaway for anyone wishing to explore this part of France.

Les Vignes is one of three gites at Grandmont Gites and enjoys a panoramic view of the village and surrounding forests. It's the largest gite with accommodation designed over two floors and sleeps up to 8 guests.

Downstairs includes a hallway and laundry area and two bedrooms. Bedroom 1 is a family room with double bed and sofa bed. Bedroom 2 has a double bed. A shower room is shared with both bedrooms which overlook the village. Upstairs there is a large open plan kitchen, dining and lounge area with a Godin log burner and a family bedroom with a double and a single bed leading to an en-suite bathroom with bath, shower, toilet and bidet all set under a high vaulted ceiling.

Other gites:
Les Arbres sleeps up to 4 guests and benefits from its own private patio and is ideal for small families or couples
Les Fleurs sleeps 4 guests and is ideal for couples sharing

Our facilities at the complex include:

- onsite free parking
- heated outdoor pool (chlorinated) normally open from June (earlier if weather température permits)
- outdoor table tennis and garden games
- winter rental from late September to early June


Nearby is the medieval town of Ambazac with places to eat, shop and sightsee including the towns' charming 13th Century church - home to two of the regions' most precious relics.

Limoges city is approx 25 mins drive, popular for its arts and crafts, theatres and museums, bars, eateries, boutiques and festivals... like Paris without the hassle and bustle!

Lac Saint Pardoux is 15 mins drive and provides a beach-in-reach. Packed with all kinds of water sports and year-round activities - it's a great place to keep the family entertained.

The area of Grandmont is surrounding by lakes for fishing and swimming, with endless forest trails and stunning scenery

Lovely holiday

Spent two weeks at the Gite, lovely weather setting and accommodation. 3 boys enjoyed the pool table tennis and grounds to play football.

A relaxing stay with a lovely pool area

We very much enjoyed our week at this property, the hosts were wonderful and the welcome basket a really lovely touch. The property has an amazing pool that was heated, spotless and set in wonderful enclosed grounds. Due to Covid we had this area to ourselves which was a real bonus. The indoor space worked well, it was well equipped and had large rooms. The only negative was the stairs that were quite tricky for myself and the dogs to manage (typical of an older property though) otherwise it would have been 5*

Beautiful and relaxing

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Grandmont Gites. The accommodation was clean and spacious, the garden huge and the pool was an absolute delight. The gites are based in a beautiful part of France and are easily accessible. Louise was a generous host. She left us a welcome basket and was always on hand to chat to and gave wonderful suggestions for activities we might like to take part in. My children (aged 13 & 10) particularly loved the pool and the variety of garden toys which were provided, especially the badminton and table tennis. Would highly recommend staying here.

Une semaine de vacances très reposante. Le logement est bien aménagé. On a passé de super moment en famille entre le foot, tranpilone et la piscine. Les propriétaires ont été très gentils et attentionnés.

Grandmont Gites verblijf met 4 volwassenen, 2 kinderen en een baby

Het zwembad was geweldig, maar wel al dicht om 20 uur en ook als er regen werd verwacht in de komende uren, kon er niet worden gezwommen. Door de nabijheid van een manège hadden we veel last van vliegen en dazen. 2 slaapkamers op de benedenverdieping en de douchekamer deelden in de schimmelgeur, die vooral in het traphalletje hing. Op de bovenverdieping bevonden zich een grote badkamer (bad is weggehaald, enkel nog douche), keuken, woonkamer en 1 grote slaapkamer. Boven kan je nergens door ramen naar buiten kijken (velux en kleine raampjes tegen de vloer aan). De matrassen waren vrij dun en bieden geen comfortabele nachtrust. Het trapje naar boven was niet comfortabel en met kinderen niet ideaal. Er waren twee douches, maar tegelijk douchen bood maar aan 1 persoon warm water. De eigenaars waren vriendelijk maar spraken enkel Engels en leken ook niet echt geïntegreerd.
