The fact that we were in the woods and a river was a special experience. I am sure for the outdoor people who do any activities during the summer, they will enjoy them. The staff was very welcoming and always available. Recommend the spa, very relaxing. The staff are extremely nice and the atmosphere is very quiet. The food is very good. Looking forward to go again.

Our accommodation was traditional wood built house from 1902, but modernised. It was a nice experience to be in a house of the style that we have seen in all the traditional parts of Quebec. It would’ve been nicer to be closer to the campus where the activities place, we needed a car to get there. As such, we didn’t really part of the site.

We tremendously enjoyed the area and the activities available. They offer certain activities for free while others for a fee. The one negative thing we found was dinner. There is only one option of restaurant and they offer limited choices and it is very expensive. For someone who is vegetarian, there is only one option and for that price, you can feed a large family of that dish. Also there are no restaurants close by so you are very limited.

I live in Houston, Texas so Le Baluchon was a great change of pace from the hustle and bustle of the big city. French is the primary language in this region, but the staff and visitors were pretty accommodating despite my lack of French. There's lots to do here even if you are a solo traveler. I loved my room and its unique, lumber style. There's also beautiful scenery right on the property. Also Julie gave an amazing Swedish Massage that resulted iin me driftingto sleep. I just wish kayaking and yoga were still available in late October/early November. Great experience nonetheless!

Overpriced but good

The trails and the site were great but honestly overpriced. We got the loft next to the horse stable which was neat but other guests kept trying to come into our room, one person came in while we were sitting at the table, so we wished there was a clearer indication not to come in. If you dtay there definitely keep the door locked! When we got there there were A LOT of flies, both dead and alive inside which wasn't great. For 400$ a night we shouldn't have to clean before departing at the risk of getting charged a cleaning fee. This did not include any meals or the spa access. The trails were great and the location is beautiful, we just wish it would have been less pricey.We were there for a wedding, it is a very nice wedding venue but we won't go back on our own.

We loved the experience. Lots of activities to do. The Studio was super clean. We loved the small Studio. We didn't have any guide from anyone. When we did the check in, the guy was replacing another person, and he didn't give us any information. Only the Studio Key and a map. We had to figure out everything on our own. The canoe experiece was nice. Again, non-instructions were given. We end up going the wrong way, so we missed the waterfalls. Please make sure you ask before you start the activity. The easiest bike path is on the grass. It was too difficult for our 9-year-old kid, so we used another way that was easier for him. The equipment was well entertained as well as the horses. The exterior pool was nice. Warmer than the interior.

La chambre était très belle et propre. C’était calme et nous avons bien dormi. Toutes les installations sont à distance de marche, faciles d’accès et le personnel est toujours prêts à nous aider. D’ailleurs, le personnel est accueillant, chaleureux et jovial.

Personnel courtois et chaleureux, particulièrement à l’eco café. L’etablissement nous facture 2% sur la facture de restauration pour des frais d’administration, ce qui me semble une pratique questionnable. Attendez vous à payer pour le spa, le yoga et même la mayonnaise! Très beau site, les sentiers sont bien entretenus mais pas balisés, il est difficile de s’y retrouver, une carte des sentiers sur le site serait apprécié (et non une application de cellulaire).

La chambre était fantastique. Chambre de coin avec 2 belles grandes fenêtres sur la nature. Magnifique souper découverte 8 services. Domaine fantastique pour le plein air, sentier de bois illuminé le soir.
