La Nuit d'Etang rates more than 5 stars because we think it is exceptional! It is very comfortable, very well appointed, intensively and amusingly decorated both inside and outside, very quiet in a pleasant location and a welcome delight to return to at the end of every day. For those who like cycling, the surrounding countryside is excellent with gently rolling hills and attractive landscapes. There are endless incredibly quiet lanes, plus the voie verte which whisks you fairly effortlessly into Alencon. We discovered some good walking, never used our car and had a first class week despite occasional late summer rain. Good luck to Nicolas and Amelie with La Nuit d'Etang!
