Nous avons passé un séjour idyllique chez Pascal et Suzanne. Le gîte est situé dans un vallon paisible, la vue est à couper le souffle, et la route d’accès tout à fait praticable en voiture. Grâce aux conseils de nos hôtes, nous avons fait quelques jolies randonnées autour (avec et sans prendre la voiture), et découvert le Parc des Écrins : paysages de haute montagne, rivières, lacs, chamois, moutons, marmottes, myrtilles et framboises sauvages, refuges chaleureux…Nous avons également pu profiter du très grand espace extérieur pour nous détendre et laisser jouer nos bébés. Si vous êtes à la recherche de calme, de déconnexion, de montagne et de grands espaces. Nous recommandons vivement le gîte des Alpinistes! Un immense merci à Pascal et Suzanne pour votre accueil, votre gentillesse et vos recommandations.

Wundervolle Lage und Atmosphäre

Sehr schöne Wohnung mit großem Garten und unglaublich schönen Blicken auf die Berge. Die Vermieter verkaufen selbstgemachten Honig und der Frühstücksbus hält jeden Tag vor der Tür. Es gibt nicht viele Ferienwohnungen die so weit hinten im Tal liegen und wir waren sehr glücklich so eine tolle Wohnung gefunden zu haben.

Excellent séjour aux Etages

Suzanne et Pascal ont su rénover cet ancien hôtel tout en préservant l'authenticité des lieux. L'appartement dispose de tout le confort moderne nécéssaire et a été décoré avec soin. L'immense jardin devant la maison offre un superbe panorama sur les Ecrins et est l'endroit idéal pour se détendre après une journée de balade. L'environnement du parc des Ecrins est fantastique pour les randonnées. Suzanne et Pascal sauront vous conseiller sur les itinéraires pour vous faire profiter au mieux de leur petit coin de paradis. N'hésitez pas à gouter le miel de Pascal, il est délicieux. C'est avec grand plaisir que nous reviendrons.

Alpine cottage with amazing outdoor space and mountain views near La Bérarde

A wonderful mountain paradise!! We are a family with two children aged 13 and 10 who spent a week here in August 2022. We knew from a previous visit just how dramatic the mountain scenery and walking/hiking options are near La Bérarde. The cottage is in the hamlet of Les Étages, an easy 3km drive from La Bérarde. It is the ground floor of a converted mountaineering hotel bursting with character (the first floor can also be rented). It has lovely grassy outdoor space which stays sunny well into the evening and has fantastic mountain views. We saw marmots at the back of the garden and in the next door field. A van selling bread and pastries stops outside at around 8:15 every morning. The immediate area is a paradise for walkers/hikers. A large number of walks start either in Les Étages or La Bérarde (including two which start right outside the cottage). The spectacular views include glaciers, rock needles and the high peaks of the Écrins national park. Many of the walks are to remote mountain refuges, where you can stop for a meal before heading down (bring plenty of cash - the refuges don't take cards and there is no ATM in the valley!). We spent most days doing mountain walks and only wish we could have stayed longer!! The hosts, Suzanne and Pascal, are very friendly and can offer advice on the local area. Would highly recommend!!

Un des bouts du Monde

On y laisse la voiture et on y touche plus. On sort les vélos, les chaussures de montagne, les bodards, les cordes, les jumelles et on s'extasie sur la nature qui nous entoure. Le camp de base est vaste et convivial dedans comme dehors. Pascal et Suzanne partage leur expérience locale avec passion.

La location de Suzanne et Pascal est la destination idéale pour une immersion totale au sein de cette vallée sauvage et préservée, au pied des Écrins. Impossible d etre en manque d'inspiration pour les randos avec les conseils avisés de Suzanne et Pascal. Merci a eux pour leur accueil et d avoir partagé l amour de ce lieux exceptionnel. Fabuleux !

Site exceptionnel, vers le fond de la vallée du Vénéon, loin de tout. Le gîte est très bien agencé, ancien Hôtel divisé en 2 appartements, et profite d'un jardin hors du commun au pied du départ du sentier vers le refuge du Soreiller. Pascal et Suzanne ont aménagé plusieurs coins repas et repos dans le jardin, ce qui donne vraiment l'impression d'être en pleine nature. Idéal pour les enfants qui y ont trouvé un terrain de jeux fabuleux. Pas de wi-fi ni de 4G pour nous (réseau free), 4G accessible sur le réseau Orange, mais ça fait un bien fou, y compris aux ados ! En plus Pascal fait un délicieux miel, à goûter absolument. Merci à nos deux hôtes pour leur accueil et leur disponibilité.
