Also known as the 'Country of a Thousand Lakes'.The region has over 1300 ponds, lakes, pools and marshes, making it a popular destination for birders, hikers, nature lovers and anglers. There are various hiking trails, including botanical, nature and castle trails, as well as equestrian trails. This is also a great area to explore by canoe. You don't have far to go to reach the city, which is convenient for dining out at a nice restaurant or doing your shopping.For real daredevils: there is a small section of the holiday home where you can go parachuting.
