The Dixon House is located at Dixon Manor, a tastefully updated 1900 Craftsman home. If rented in its entirety (this listing)THERE ARE NO COMMON SPACES that are shared with anyone else. The home is located within minutes to Hwy. 80, 113, 505 and many others. Davis is 6 miles to the east, while Vacaville is only 8 miles west. There is plenty of private outdoor space to get some fresh air while maintaining social distancing.

Stinky House

The biggest problem with this house was the plug in air freshener that nearly sent my wife to the hospital with an asthma attack. It took three days to find it and it was miserable and colored the whole trip. The house was ok, it is a split house- 3 units, the front unit we rented has a locked door in the kitchen separating it from the back unit which is a long term rental - there is a large gap at the top of the door - which meant we could hear the neighbors radio selection, conversation etc. The 3rd unit is on top. So while this looks like a single house, it has all the downsides to an apartment. The beds were on weird frames that were absurdly high and had these pipe legs that caused many stubbed toes. On the good side, when a breaker blew, the landlord responded right away, sending her long term tenant in the back unit to sort it out, which was nice, except that I had to help him figure out how to open the gate to the area with the breaker box. All in all, I would not stay in this house again.

Family weekend

Our family enjoyed our stay in Dixon. The location was within walking distance of several restaurants. The beds were comfortable and offered plenty of sleeping spaces for our family.

Very clean but some unexpected issues

Nice comfortable house but was not expecting the train to a) be so close b) go throughout the night. It is literally right down the street and the house shakes when it passes through. In addition, the blinds provide minimal privacy. Neighbors in the back can walk down side of house and see into the house with blinds drawn down in common area. If guests are able to overlook these then this will work. Unfortunately, this was difficult for us to oversee. Thank you

Fun in Dixon

The property was exactly what we needed for our 10 day stay. Everything we needed was available. The house is nicely updated, is decorated lovely, and everything was very clean. The owner replied promptly. The only negatives about this property are the closeness to the busy train tracks and adjacent guests on the other side of a door in the kitchen. We will certainly opt to stay there again when we return to Dixon!

Darling little house in a quiet neighborhood; well equipped. Easy access to shopping, food and highways to area attractions. It took a night or two to get used to the trains coming through, as there are tracks near by.
