We have just completed a weeks stay at this wonderful Hotel. We had a spacious and well furnished room on the 4th floor with wonderful views of the surrounding mountains from our balcony. The owners, managers and staff were all very welcoming and could not to do enough to help us. The hotel has excellent spa facilities and we enjoyed lovely meals in the well appointed restaurant.
We have visited Saas Fee on several occasions now, we love it. First time we have stayed at Schweizerhof, absolutely fantastic. Staff and service all great. The spa was a big bonus, beautiful. It is a 6 course dinner which I wasn’t too sure about but the food was lovely all week. Great buffet breakfast. The church bells will waken you in the morning. We look forward to returning again!
Stayed here for 1 week, coinciding with a family ski trip in the beautiful resort of Saas Fee. So it's a really nice hotel, very quirky in so much as you have styles ranging from the 80's to the present day, this is not a negative, it simply adds to the charm of the hotel. The staff are very friendly, attentive and approachable, nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast was very good although some variation from the previous day would have been welcome, we also had dinner in the hotel each evening (as we were half board) and this was a 6 course meal which consistently met a high standard. Swiss wines are also very good, please start exporting them.... Please!! The hotel is about a 10 minute walk to the nursery slopes/ski school meeting points but they do run a regular shuttle to here and to 2 gondola stations, they collect as well, check the times and info though. We had a room with a nice balcony but the bathrooms do need modernising as do some of the common areas leading to the rooms but this is minor stuff as everything else about the hotel is of a high standard. They have a fairly new spa on the 1st floor with an impressive sauna, outdoor hot tub and 2 relaxation areas. There are additional saunas, a jacuzzi and a pool on the lower ground floor as well, our friend used the pool and said it was lovely. There's a ski room to store your skis/boots/boards. So in summary this is a really well managed, charming hotel, the staff are really first class, they really want to make your stay as enjoyable as possible and that's what we're all looking for, right?
Hotel was good. Basic but clean room. Hotel in alpine style, so warm and cosy. Close to town center. The time we staid in Saas-fee the town was ‘death’. Stay in the hotel in the evening and don’t try to find something better. You will get disappointed. Food was good as well as the service did.
This was our 6th visit to the wonderful Schweizerhof for a reason. From the moment you step through the door to the sad time of leaving everything perfect for us. The checkin is relaxing and easy with a welcome drink from the bar. Lots of information on the mountain lifts, walks, the Hotel meal times etc. All areas are immaculately clean. We were taken to our room by one of the lovely staff and welcome food, water and wine awaited us. The room a south facing spacious room with a bathroom, separate toilet and balcony with reclining chairs. In the room a large bed which could be singles but was made up as a double. There was also another spacious area for relaxing with a sofa, armchair and coffee table with a vase of fresh flowers. A desk and tv, an area for storing cases and plenty of wardrobe space. Food what can I say to do it justice I don’t know. Just wonderful with plenty of breakfast options including eggs anyway you wish cooked to order and any type of coffee or tea. There was fruit, cereals, homemade Bircher muesli, nuts, seeds, cheese, smoked salmon, hams and of course breads plus preserves. Juice and sparkling wine and I am sure I’ve forgotten something as so much choice. Dinner was a gourmet experience each night with choice for every course and consisted of at least 6 delicious courses. I must not forget to speak about the Italian Pianist who played for about 3 hours a night in the restaurant. He was is so accomplished , playing a vast range of music to please all tastes. Dinner was perfect. The Wave Spa area is also great with Swimming pool, indoor and outside Jacuzzis, saunas and steam rooms plus relaxing areas and treatments. Last but the most important of all Medy and Bernita the owners and all their lovely staff make this Hotel what it is. So much attention to detail in all areas. Can’t wait to come back in the future
We had a lovely stay at the hotel and thought it was fantastic. Staff were great and welcomed us warmly. We had arrived at 18:30 and we were offered a drink. We swam and relaxed. We didn’t take them up on a nice dinner offer as we wanted to see the town. Breakfast was amasing after a good sleep. Thank you for taking good care of us. See you again in winter perhaps.
Stayed initially for 1 night and decided to extend! Great reception ( together with the pick up at the station arrival), welcome drink with 1:1 explanations. Good recommendations for activities and look around. Great breakfast, great pool, and pet Friendly ( but no pets In dining room). You feel welcomed and taken care of. A repeat experience I will test in the future!
This was out second stay at this wonderful hotel. This is owner managed and oh my boy, Benita and Medy are top of their league. The hotel is well maintained and very clean. The rooms are chic and so is the rather classy restaurant. Their breakfast buffet is fantastic with made-to-order eggs, local cheese and meat and they will even prepare tea with fresh ginger on request. The half board dinner, 6 course with two meals to choose from, is of very high standard. From 4 to 5pm guests enjoy complimentary cakes, cheese and cold cuts in the lobby lounge. The SPA is modern and a true retreat after a day on the slopes. They offer a ski bus to the key stations. The hotel is centrally located just a few meters above the village center. We will be back! A big THANK YOU to the entire team. Many hotels could certainly learn from you guys.
I stayed in Schweizerhof for 5 nights. It was a pleasure to be there! My trip was splitted into 3 days of business meeting and 3 days of private vacation. Everything was very professionally organised and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is simply great and lunch & dinner are very delicious. The SPA and wellness area is gorgeous. To make a wellness treatment e.g. massage is definitely a must do. My therapist was doing the job perfectly great. Location is very centrally and transfers to parking/bus terminal are well organised. All in all this hotel in my perspective is world class. I will stay there for sure again. Found my home base in Saas-Fee! Michel K.
The Schweizerhof is a beautiful hotel, immaculately clean and very friendly. Saas Fee is a brilliant location. The air is so clear and the village being car free is great. The walking is beyond compare and the fact that the citizens pass allows you to travel on all the cable cars and post buses in the Saas valley is fantastic! We've been to Switzerland before and know how expensive that can be. The village and surrounding areas were pretty quiet when we were there (mid Sept) but that suited us fine. We loved the swimming pool, we had it to our selves every morning which was fantastic, being Brits we weren't too keen on the 'nude' rules for sauna!!
