First of all when i arrivwd to the hotel the person doing check in does not speak any english at all. Since i’m an menber of accour my check in was already done and she couldnt find the paper neither the keys! I wasnt able to get my welkome drink, because she didnt know what to do!

I stayed here for two nights whilst on business, i stayed here in 2015 due to its close location to the company i was visiting at the time. Nothing has really changed since my last visit ! Hotel Staff are very Friendly and helpful & it is clean & tidy, the Hotel just needs modernisation, the lift is very small and smells of hot hydraulic fluid, the room key is not electronic and fills up your pocket due to its size, the door did not close securely as the lock was worn. Bathroom was usual Mercure style but very clean with soaps, shower gel, shampoo, old scratchy towels though. Bed was comfortable with clean linen. Safe, Small Hanging space, TV (remote was missing and had to ask for a new one) with multi language channels and good free Wifi. Breakfast was OK with fruits, yogurts, cereals, breads, pastries & a selection of Hot food, i'm not sure it warranted the €15 though. I ate dinner there during my stay and had the Mercure Burger which i had to sent back as the bun was stale & hard so wouldn't recommend. Plenty of free parking. Will stay here on my next visit to Saarbrucken but hope it does get the renovation it certainly requires.

I have been staying at the Mercure Saarbrücken Süd for many years, going back to when it was the Novotel. I have booked two rooms twice each year en route to family holidays in Austria. As an Accor Loyalty Card holder I had gained Silver status. When I arrived on 12th January 2018, I discovered from the receptionist that my loyalty status had been downgraded to a lower level which meant I lost some privileges, e.g. a welcome drink. This was very disappointing. I complained to Accor but was simply told things had changed. I was asked if we wanted to book breakfast. It would be €12 per person if we booked and paid the night before, or €15 per person on the morning. We booked. I'm at the hotel again today on our way home to U.K. Asked if we could book breakfasts, we were told it was €15. I said "but when we were here 8 days ago, I was told it would be €12 per person if we booked the night before". It's €15 is what I was told. Used to be one could get a snack and a drink in the bar but that seems to have stopped. Staff are great but after being a regular customer for many years, I'm sorry to say I will probably not use this hotel again.

I stayed in Mercure Saarbruecken Sud hotel for one night. Very friendly staff, close to the highway (but in quiet location) and big and safe parking place for free. Excellent breakfast. Room big enough and clean.

Staff is friendly and constant. You know them because I often come, and you feel as at Home. Hotel is clean. Located quietly but far from City. Bar and Food are ok, but average, Mostly due to value for price. Staff is professional, so it does not take too much time to check in and out. I recommend it. Water bottel in Room should be free of charge

I stayed at Mercure for the second time in 2 years and it was again very nice. The rooms were clean and the breakfast was good. The location is not optimal (far from city centre, a car is needed) and the checkout time is not flexible

Nice ex-Novotel with pool, location perfect when you come by car (Paris-Frankfurt), climatization cannot get switched-off, A-Club Members are well treated, food and breakfast service to be improved. Overall nice hotel with some defects!

After a terrible night in Bremen we stayed in Saran, France, just north of Orleans. Reception was cordial and welcoming, the bar was nice and the breakfast excellent. The shower is in the bathtub, which I find less practical and the hotel in need för a renewal which we heard will be coming soon. Let us hope the floor will be hard in rooms.

Stayed twice for one night en route from UK to Bled, Slovenia. Hotel is reall well situated, just off the motorway and has a massive car park (needed when towing a large trailer). Rooms are good sized, reasonably furnished and with a good bathroom. Breakfast was included - this was a reasonable selection of both cooked and cold. Only down side was the staff at breakfast were very cold, to the point of rudeness. On the flip side, the reception staff were great Didn't eat in the restauarant - found an excellent gasthaus just up the road, Die Mohr'sche Anlage

One night stop over on the way back to Calais, easy route via toll road Evening meal was exelant, with plenty of choices. Comfortable beds, however the shower was over the bath, which was high/deep and narrow to stand on
