We chosed this hotel due to its Pool and proximity to the river, as we were looking for a place to relax foe one entire day. We changed the hostel directly. The rooms, especially the bath room were grubby and dirty. We had traveled a lot to this time and were familiar with a certain uncleanliness. But here, it was too much. The pool area was the same. Aditionally we considered this area as quite impersal and lovelessly set up. They do have a pool, but all the sourrounding was not welcomming. One of the staff members was in such a bad mood, that we, as guests, had the feeling of not beeing welcome.
Is a nice hostel, so clean and comfortable rooms. Highly recommended. Diogo was a great receptionist. ALso is well located in Rurrenabaque, about 10 minutes away from Airport. Breakfast was delicious, for me, was the best from this place.
Stayed for three nights, the first night in a dorm and the latter two in a private room. The dorm was nice, I enjoyed the fact that unlike most hostels I've encountered throughout my travels, Bolivia doesn't go in for bunk beds. Moved to private rooms when they were available and we both thought that the balcony area was a really lovely addition to the room whilst the kettle etc was also handy. The pool was lovely to have and the breakfast provided was much better than some of the other places we stayed. There was good internet around the pool area but in the private room it occasionally dipped. Anyone who moans about those sort of things should just stay at home in my opinion, for the price you pay you get an excellent deal with beautiful views, a gorgeous pool and the best restaurant around just next door.
I arrived to rurrenabaque looking for a place to stay and found the wolf a place a bit away from the center but from the moment you enter you feel at home the staff always with a smile when we go up to the room the beds very comfortable at night try the tacos very good option they have vegetarian breakfast very rich they explain you of the different activities that you can perform just perfect
How anyone could give this place half a star is beyond me. The epitome of a dump and I’m happy to tell you why: - each room only has 2 walls. Yes, I said it - only 2 walls. If you like sleeping to the pleasant sounds of all night dog fights, motorcycle races, and hostel parties than this is the place for you. - mosquito nets smell like pee/not large enough for the bed. It didn’t make much sense to us that a mosquito net meant for a twin bed was placed over a queen bed. Also didn’t make much sense that it smelled like piss. - people can see directly into your shower. Are you a female? Better bring a towel to place over the screen in the shower to avoid your male neighbor taking a peak while you shower - do you love not having WiFi? This is your place. - enjoy bugs? How about bed bugs? Was eaten alive at this place. Better debug your bag religiously before heading home after this place. Also is in a bad location and the laundry was expensive. I could go on and on.
Not sure why the hostel doesn't have a good rating on hostel world as it deserves much more. Staff are friendly and helpful and will try and help you however they can. The hostel is cheap for a 6 bed dorm. I think we paid about 50 BOB per night with breakfast. Rooms are pretty basic and mosquito nets aren't the best but you get what you pay for. We ended up staying longer because the weather was so good and didn't want to return to 4 degrees in La Paz just yet! Breakfast is bread, coffee, juice, pineapple, water melon, papaya and scrambled egg. You can buy plane and bus tickets from the hostel back to La Paz. Every night they do taco night for 40 BOB - we didn't try them though. Bedrooms and bathrooms get cleaned every day. Wifi is good and works everywhere in the hostel and they have charging points around the hostel although not many in the dorm we stayed in. Lots of reviews state the hostel is far away from the centre...it's not. You can reach the French bakery and all the tour guide companies in a 5 min walk and there is a really nice restaurant right across the road that does fresh home made food which is worth a visit! Overall a good hostel for Cheap!
Our flight with amazonas was cancelled so we had to take a later flight resulting in missing out on doing a 3 day Pampas tour. Our taxi driver dropped us off here and they had a private room available. It had a double and single bed and bathroom with shower. The windows had screens on them, no glass but it wasn’t too loud. This Hostal is right along the river and has a pool and little restaurant/ bar area. Breakfast is included as well. Small selection of breads, meat & fruits. It was a nice place at a great price! $27 CAD It’s a few blocks from the main area of town. We walked in a found a 2 day tour to the Pampas with flecha tours - highly recommend! Laura the travel agent who booked us spoke great English and was very helpful!
We had a nice stay for one day, the staff was friendly and took us on a hiking trip in the jungle. They have a nice pool to cool down. However, I ended up being super annoyed by the owner David. We ordered plane tickets to LaPaz for Sunday, as me and my travel mate needed to work Mondays. When we passed by to pick up the tickets the night before he said they are gone, we are to late. The bad thing is that he did not contact us during the two days of ordering and everything seemed fixed. Further we asked two times for the sunglasses we left in room 5 - they are still there, nobody cared to have a look the days after our stay before we left Rurrenabaque. If you don't lose anything and don't rely on the owner for important stuff, could be a nice stay.
We loved our stay here. We enjoyed the town and the hostel so much that we stayed for an extra week after our jungle tour. The amenities are great: Wi-Fi is medium-strength, consistent hot water, mozzie-proof rooms, comfortable bed, kettle and mugs in the rooms. The rooms have a lovely balcony that looks straight at the river and the jungle. In terms of location, it's less than a 5 minute walk to the centre of town (and most importantly - the incredible French bakery and the restaurant El Nomadico, which does the world's best fish curry). The price is extremely good for a private room with ensuite bathroom. We highly recommend staying here and we would absolutely stay again. Hot tip: if you get the password for the restaurant across the road (casa de campo, does great food!) then that Wi-Fi connection is stronger at the hostel.
Lovely hostel with a beautiful pool and terrace that catch the sun. Great place to relax and recover after a jungle or pampas tour - we extended our stay to have an extra night there after going to the jungle. Pool table and table tennis table in the bar by the pool. Breakfast is ok but even better in the french place over the rpad. Recommended.
