Great hotel this. The staff make you feel very welcome. Food and drink an affordable price. Wifi poor on the 3rd floor. Breakfast is fine. Seems to be a mix of old and new at this hotel with a contemporary restaurant but the rooms a little dated/retro but with modern bathrooms. Its like it cannot make its mind up what it wants to be. We went for the Biathlon World Cup. Perfect location as free shuttle busses run from 100m away and it takes 8 mins to get there. If I find myself in the Bavarian Alps again I will certainly stay here again.

Entirely perfect

The family owned "Gillitzer" Alpenhotel Wittelsbach offers very detailed, friendly and personal service. The breakfast buffet is amazing and the restaurant with its menu probably one of the best in the region. We had an excellent stay and would definitely come back again for another also longer stay.
