Great Location - only few minutes drive to Leamington Spa, nice bedroom, good selection for breakfast and the staff was super friendly and very helpful. We enjoyed our stay at Woodland Grange and definitely can recommend it !

Our stay in Woodland Grange was an 'experience' we want to forget as quickly as possible. We are writing this in hopes that we'll save someone else's vacation because ours was pretty much ruined. Our room was DIRTY. It looked like it hasn't been properly cleaned in ages. Dust all over the place, few long strands of hair in the bath and toilet seat with 'something' on it. My wife kept sneezing and coughing, most likely as a reaction to dust that was literally everywhere (do they even use vacuum cleaner here?). Immediately we went to the reception, explained the problem and politely asked for another room. Reception staff never apologized although they did allow us to change the room. New room, new kind of dirt. Still dusty although much less than in the previous room (at least my wife could breathe again) but unfortunately very dirty nevertheless. One of the pillows had what seemed like a blood stain and the bathroom had a disgusting sewerage smell. On the 2nd day of our stay wife found 3 clipped nails in the carpet - true testament to their dislike for vacuum cleaning or cleaning in general. Even though we were promised that wi-fi will work in our room, in both of the rooms wi-fi didn't work. We tried it on at least 3 different devices and in the best case it would connect for 30 seconds and then signal would be gone. Mobile phone reception was also very weak and at times non-existent in our 2nd room and I missed an important phone call due to lack of mobile signal in our room. Room was much smaller than shown in the pics and hotter than the sun. There is no air con although they do provide a fan which wasn't enough for us as it was just moving the hot air around. Overall this was by far the worst experience we've ever had in any of the hotels we've been to (including low budget ones). For an expensive 4-star hotel this was absolutely disgraceful.

A nice hotel in lovely settings a short drive from Leamington town centre. Friendly staff who tryier best to put right all of the wrongs. First allocated room was very cramped - would not call this 'king' room, tiny bed, really hot and had a filthy toilet, clearly had been used and left. Bed sheets didn't fit and also holes in them. We were swiftly moved to another room. First impressions much better than first room but then noticed bed sheets again didn't fit, also holes in them and 2 single beds pushed together. No privacy unless curtains were shut - being stared at from an older man in another room is not good! Bath was dirty but at least the toilet was clean. Breakfast looked good, not much of a selection of fruit on the first day byt they more than made uo for it in the second day. Plates were cold yet fruit and cereal bowls were hot. We were looking forward to our full English but sadly it was cold on both days. Overall a very disappointing experience, had it been advertised as 3* and cheaper than the £90 a night that I paid I would have not expected such high standards. I most definitely won't be returning!

Spacious hotel on edge of Leamington Spa. Was fair value and room was comfortable and quiet. Bathroom looked very modern. Breakfast buffet ok Only issue was dirty toilet. Reception said would clean while we were at dinner but didn’t. Spa was out of order. Small but ok gym.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at Woodland Grange and I'm probably being a bit fussy not giving it 5 stars. Great things to expect include; Very friendly and helpful staff. A clean and well appointed hotel. Large grounds, including fire pits on the front lawn. Very comfy beds and large rooms. Free coffee, tea, sweet treats in the bar area during the day. Nice breakfast options. Free parking. The points that lead me to deduct a star include; No blinds/nets on the windows meaning rooms didn't feel completely private, especially when changing. At breakfast we weren't told there was an option to order from the kitchen. We only knew this when some omelettes were brought through for guests. Info/menus on the tables would be useful. Location; on the booking site I used it looked like the hotel was in the town centre as I prioritised my search on distance. However if you are looking at heading into Lemington it's a 25min walk away. There are car parks if you wish to drive though. We walked into town which was fine but I was annoyed I hadn't checked this. Obviously this is an oversight on my part, not the hotels fault. It can get quite busy with large groups as it seems a popular conferencing location. This wasn't a problem at all but thought I'd mention it. Finally we were woken quite early by a dawn chorus of incredibly loud birds in the central courtyard area. It didn't last long but was quite annoying. Overall we enjoyed our stay but if I was to return to Lemington I'd be looking for a hotel closer to the city centre. A very nice hotel though which provided a nice base for our getaway.

Stayed for two nights as my other half was attending the National Bowls tournament in Leamington Spa. Had stayed at this hotel two years ago. Friendly staff, clean rooms. Well run hotel. Would definitely return. Very minor criticism no biscuits with the tea and coffee facilities in the room and would have been nice to have a couple of glasses in the bathroom.

Lovely hotel rooms very comfortable, had a surprise birthday plate waiting in our room. The only down side was one of the bar staff who couldnt be bothered 1 of the drinks we was having had run out she said and there was no more, later on another barman when and got a bottle from another bar. Food was delicious, we stayed for the evening meal good service excellent meal. Breakfast was really good to good selection

As my company has an office close by, we regularly use Woodland Grange for events and conferences but this is the first time I have stayed at the hotel - and will be the last. On arrival, after a four hour drive from the South, I was directed to my room and also told that the restaurant was available for dinner - no bookings necessary. Imagine my surprise, then, when on arriving at the restaurant, I was told I would be facing a wait of up to two hours as a big party had just been seated. I went to the bar to ask if I could order a snack there, but again was told there would be a long wait, and so returned to my room to try my luck with room service (at least then I could have somewhere comfortable to wait without being surrounded by braying sales reps on a training course). The room was well appointed and spotlessly clean, although a small fan didn't really help on one of the hottest days of the year, and windows which only opened a crack didn't allow any air to circulate. It was clear that when my chicken caesar salad finally arrived it had been thrown together at breakneck speed - although freshly prepared, no one had seen fit to render the fat off the chicken (or remove it all together) leaving it soggy and disgusting. The dressing was just coloured water - thank heavens I'd been given a couple of sachets of vinegar (although, at this sort of establishment, shouldn't there be proper condiments?). Reception failed to provide the early morning call or newspaper I'd clearly requested on my check in form (which had been confirmed with reception verbally as well), and breakfast the following morning was little better - no bacon on offer at all, no peppermint tea (or other herbal tea at all!), a scrum for the single toaster. It IS a beautiful location and a great place for meetings, but I won't be wasting money staying here again - other hotels are available in the vicinity which at least cater for EVERY customer, not just the big groups. So disappointing.

When booking here i was a bit dubious as i had read the previous two reviews however I can only assume these people were having a bad day as i was very impressed with the hotel, my room was spacious and spotless, the only issue i found was the decor needs repainting, the staff were friendly, it did seem they were understaffed but that didnt stop the excellent service we recieved.i have stayed in worse hotels who do not deserve a 5*review, these certainly do,its just unfortunately these days people do not seem to go away to enjoy themselves they go away to pick unnecessary faults, staff here seem to work very hard and always smiling,i hope the manager passes on my gratitude and the two previous reviews does not upset the hardworking housekeepers that i saw cleaning, i would like to say well done and my friends and i will certainly be back ,keep up the good work,

Our room which was apalling! Hairs in the bath, scum in the sink, 1 bath towel between 2, hand towel was dirty (looked like it was from previous guests), the dust in the room was awful - it was on the tv, the unit, coffee/tea tray and even the tissue box! When I pulled the quilt back there was hair in the bed!! One of the pillows fell off the bed and when I lifted it the pillow was black with dirt from the carpet!! Restaurant food was awful. The steak was the toughest bit of rubber I have ever tasted. The table beside us kicked up a fuss as their food was so terrible, croutons which could break your teeth and the fish was green apparently!! They walked out refusing to pay and checked out of the hotel! We tried to get another hotel for our 2 night stay but everywhere was fully booked. We managed to get a room for our 2nd night in a nearby hotel. When we complained to Reception and said we would be checking out a day early she tried to tell me there would be a cancellation fee! I explained that we had travelled 14 hours to be greeted by a dirty hotel room and awful food and told her the state my room was in. All she did was say sorry and that she would "waive" the cancelation fee for the second night.. No help offered for the disgusting room we were staying in that night or no help for the horrible meal we had. She honestly didn't even seem surprised. I have emailed the hotel to let management know of our apalling experience, over 48 hours has passed and I have had no response!
