Big hotel with a knowledgeable front desk staff, good breakfast options and in the middle of town. The rooms were a bit small and not much room for 2 people + luggage to maneuver, but we were too busy with activities to be inconvenienced by the size.
We rented the suite. It is very spacious and consists of two bedrooms and a living room. The suite is on the fifth and last floor, overlooking the city. The price is not cheap but not really expensive. Excellent breakfast. On the parking must pay 6 euros per day.
Travelled with 2 other adults sharing a room ~ only managed to open all 3 luggages after shifting some small chairs & tables Would suggest splitting into 2 rooms if you prefer a more comfortable stay (especially if staying for a few days) Location is very good as it’s in the heart of supermarket, restaurants and shopping mall If you are craving for Chinese food, there’s a Chinese restaurant just round the hotel corner called Xiang Long. Food is not bad. Another Chinese restaurant named Hai Long is about 5, 10 mins away but more expensive. Food is also quite delicious Hotel breakfast spread is average but has quite good selection of teas and juices Worth a stay if not particular about room size
The breakfast is good with many choice of food including fruit. Good wifi reception, hv re cycling bin in the room, warm and great location as it near the bus station (but not the railway station) to the santa clause village. It also near the 24 hours mc Donald, the museum and other city attraction. But there was much light pollution nearby, more serious than other hotel in the city.
Ideal location for the small town centre and the outlying activities only had breakfast whilst staying here but there was a big selection of choices the rooms are basic but lovely and the beds are so comfortable and warm definitely will stay here again
We made a trip to Rovaniemi with a family to meet the Santaclaus. Hotel is nicely located in a city centre with very good connections. Service is very friendly and rooms are nice and tidy. We really enjoyed our stay and can recommend to others as well.
Stayed in Scandic Rovaniemi with my family for 4 nights and it was a very good decision. The hotel offers wide spread of breakfast and free Sauna for the hotel guests which was a must required thing when we came back from outside temperatures below -23degC. There's a shopping mall and McDonald just opposite this hotel and a Hertz car rental company in same building. These things were pretty helpful specially when mobility is reduced during winter months. The family rooms are a bit small if staying with more than one child and there's no kettle available in room if one wants to make coffee or tea in room (which I feel most hotels worldwide offer complementary). But overall it was a great experience staying here.
Centrally located giving great access to all of the restaurants, bars and shops. Airport bus drops you at the hotel. We stayed for 4 nights, the staff were always friendly and helpful. Our room was tidied every day. The room was a good size, good bed and nice bathroom. The shower was to die for - hot and powerful. The breakfast has loads of different options - we always had a good breakfast avoiding an expensive lunch. We had absolutely no issues during our stay.
Easy to catch a €7.00 p/p from the airport look for airport shuttle, a short drive and the airport make a stop opposite the hotel, a decent size refurbished room, however there is no kettle, so you need to go to the lobby to get hot water, ask the reception and she’ll point to you where to get your hot water. Plenty of eating places nearby and there is a big supermarket in front of the hotel red light crossing, if you want to enquire or book tours, exit hotel Turn Right” and you find a visitor centre & Safartica tours, & Lapland safaris tours further down. if you are a first time to Rovaniemi , a good place to eat will be Roka, exit hotel turn left and 50m you can see the Roka sign. If you book the ice breaker polar explorer, you can choose to be pick up from hotel Santa Claus which is 5 mins walk from Scandic , we chose the railway station 15 min walk coz we did not knew Hotel SC was nearer, if you are going to Santa Claus village, there’s a No. 8 bus going to Santa CV, or ask the reception to book a taxi which cost around €20 one way via meter. Breakfast was simple with plenty of choices. We will definitely stay here if we come back to Rovaniemi
Like all other Scandic properties this also is at a good location..The breakfast is very elaborate and nice. We stayed here for 3 nights. The location is good and very close to all monuments and restaurants. However there are other cheaper options of accommodation that one would want to explore nearby. One good thing is there is a good mall across the street which one can explore. Mac Donalds is just again across the street just in case you need a quick snack.
