Apukka is really comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The guides are incredibly knowledgeable and fun. Even though there wasn't any snow it was easy to find alternative things to do. I would definitely stay here again. The food in the restaurant was amazing. I only wish we could have stayed longer.

The glass room is a cool concept and the room is nice although it is very small and tight for 2 adults and 2 kids. There isn't a real closet and we had a room that had a view of the office. Hard to see arouras when instead you are seeing the light of the office where you check-in

We've traveled 38 hours hoping to find some fun in Rovaniemi but only proved to have had a terrible experience dealing with the hotel and its unprofessional dishonest staffs. Each day, we spent at least 3 hours requesting the hotel to fix the nonworking heater, the room is very cold and small. We then had to pay a fee to switch room (50 euros), when the rooms are at the same rate when booking online! The hotel shouldn't have charged any fee for room switching as it's their problem, they seem to think that is okay to give guests problematic rooms. The hotel staff said to us that All of their rooms have problems. We booked a aurora cabin, only to find there is nothing to it at all beside risk of expose privacy and get sick in a cold room without a functioning heater.

We stayed in the igloo for one night. It was an amazing experience however, the bathroom needs improvement. The shower glass is so small that everything else in the bathroom (toilet included) gets wet. Very annoying as you have to wait till you're finished, push all the water away into the drain with the stick and then you can put a towel on the floor. There was also nowhere to put your shampoo/shower gel around the shower so you have to reach to the sink soaking wet and wet the bathroom even more. Also, there's nowhere to control the heating so it got really hot at night. The other rooms in the main building had the same shower issue but this the water getting everywhere was worse as the bathroom we smaller than the one in the glass igloo. We also found a bandaid on one of the bedside tables, a lot of dust behind the bedside tables and no coffee/tea etc in the kitchen. The staff was super nice and very attentive but the activities were disappointing. We did the aurora train one night and the aurora adventure another night and the adventure was basically a repeat of the train activity (go to a Lappish hut and roast sausages on the snow train) which was super disappointing and boring not to mention everything else in the adventure tour was extremely rushed. I would definitely have not booked the adventure if I knew it'd be the same as the snow train.

Snow was beautiful. Really family oriented & everything is packaged.

Dear Frank, It is very unfortunate to hear that Apukka Resort did not meet you requirements. We are taking this seriously, as we have not faced this kind of issue earlier. Unfortunately we cannot find a reservation meeting your description or name. It would be very well appreciated if you could send us your name and reservation details so we could make sure what exactly has happened. For the rooms and accommodation: We offer many different kind of accommodation types from three bed room apartments to Aurora Cabins and double rooms with shared bathrooms. We want to offer everyone the possibility to book the most suitable accommodation type. It is unfortunate if the room size or type was not clearly informed for you when making the booking. For the noise, we have been looking into it and tried to find out how it was caused for you. We are definitely doing our best to make our guests' visit comfortable and we are really concerned what has happend in your case. For the room change, we are very sorry if you were given wrong information or if there has been some misuderstandig. Some room types might have been fully booked, some had availability. Upgrading is always possible according the availability and we always upgrade free of charge if there is something against the made reservation.
