Postillion Hotel Dordrecht

I stayed her recently, the dark wood them e is monumentally gloomy especially in the mornings. The beds are comfy but two singles for single occupancy seems daft a double please. There is also only one bed to use due to the lights etc being on one side. The bathrooms are small and only have shower, Gym is okay but few machines.

Not the best experience. Really disappointed. The first thing I have realized when I entered the room is that there was no lights in the ceiling! As a result room was really dark! Breakfast below the average. Restaurant too. Lastly the position. It is at about 15 minutes out of Dordrecht, by car, so we had to take taxi every day to go out.

First impressions on arrival by at the hotel are good. Modern and slick exterior and lobby/bar/reception area. Unfortunately this is where it ends. Once checked in I found my room FREEZING, the radiator was off (bizarre given the outside temp was about 2 degrees!), so I turned it on. I stayed for FIVE days, and my room was still cold when I left. Everyone in my conference said the same day f there rooms. We did complain on day three. “I’ll get someone to look into it” The restaurant has a tiny menu (7 o so hot options) and they NEVER had more than two staff on. 20 mins to order, 45mins for a burger, 15mins to clear plate, 15mins for bill. And that is not the worst of it! The entire restaurant is swarming with MOSQUITOS! Landing on plates and you! Conclusion? Avoid this hotel. Go across the road.

Was there for a week on business with several colleagues. Modern hotel with a lot of common area/work space with power outlets on the first floor. Rooms were good size and have A/C. Breakfast was typical European also with American scrambled eggs and bacon and was decent. Heat was not working well in several rooms at check-in. I got moved/upgraded from the 4th floor to a second floor suite in which the heat was fine for the stay. Other folks I was with not so lucky, some of them were moved to different rooms with no improvement with the heat. Hot water was fine though. Not much general lighting in the rooms but there was task lighting at the desk and bed. WIFI signal was strong but data seemed to drop in and out. Ended up just using personal hot spot a lot instead. We noticed some Mosquitoes in the rooms as well as in the restaurant, a nuisance at times. I suppose that should not be too surprising with all the canals around. Will look for alternative on next trip.

A lot of mosquitos in the whole hotel (mid Nov?) apparently because a pool of water. Fitness room is big but only a few tools with lots of dirty towels and empty bottles; work area had still left-overs food; ate in restaurant and was quite okay but part of my fish was not really well cooked. If one of this happened I wouldn’t have noticed it but the combi made it feel that things were just not right.

Wifi far too slow for normal business use, needs upgrade! Nice rooms with easy working desk and comfortable seat. Restaurant for dinner OK. Nice whisky in the bar. Average breakfast. Free parking with plenty of space.

A big hotel, with conference rooms and weekend parties, but still a nice place to stay: room is ok, breakfast is more than enough, friendly service and enough parking place. A little far from the centre.

I´m still waiting for my invoice that was not possible on check-out, after waiting 10 min .... how that is possible ???? and the lady from front desk even acuse that was my fault after my booking.com referred that was in company name ... and usually in all Hotels I never had this problem ... It was my 1st and last night in this Hotel ... No hair dryer ... no heater to do tea ... and after asking support in reception they don´t have

I thought that this hotel is very good value for money. The décor is distinctive and attractive; the room was comfortable; the hotel and room had all the facilities you would expect; the staff were friendly and helpful; the breakfast was good; there is plenty of parking; the location is very convenient. In a word, excellent. The one minor snag I had was finding the hotel - had I known that it was next to the garage it would have been a little easier, but this is probably my fault!

We stayed 1 night, the staff was very friendly and helpfull. The receptionist brought in the evening extra towels. We came on our bikes so we used the shower more than useually. The breakfast was TOP.
