A motel par excellent and the host is a great with minimum input. Large room with your own private plunge heated pool. Very clean and value for money. Great location. A repeat visit is a must. On the main street with access to side lane as well. Vehicle can be parked in front of the room.
Swimming pool temp was gr8t just the spa pool for the unit not up to scratch... Temp very cold. Only used once much to our disappointment. This is our 3rd time visiting motel. Management always obliging just these small things...
I first stayed here in 1984/5 when it was new and again through the 1990's, so it's been a while. Although a little older, the gardens have grown beautifully around the pool. Our spa unit was well appointed, clean, comfortable and spacious with a king bed upstairs and another downstairs. Unit was very private with a delightful little fenced garden at the entrance. Spa pool was fantastic to have in the cold weather ... just perfect for a girls trip away. Service was excellent! My only recommendation is someone installs a coffee machine in the restaurant so clients don't have to go out for "real" coffee in the morning .Could be a money spinner 😊
We come here every year for a girls weekend away just love the hot pool and spacious units reasonably priced too. Spa pools in units are great as well clean and tidy. Handy to main shops and blue lake
Had a fantastic week at the lodge and can not praise highly enough the great, friendly service we received here. The couple went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The room and everything we needed and we particularly appreciated the abundance of towels. When using plunge pools, swimming pools and showering one towel just wont cut it. here at the Lodge the towels are in regular supply making life very comfortable. Rooms serviced daily to a high standard. Car parking right outside your accommodation. Lots of help and advice given with regard to things to do in the area, places to eat and where to shop. We had worried about security reading about a theft in a previous review but it was explained to us the importance of locking the sliding doors from and rear when vacating for any length of time. The theft took place because the occupant did not lock the rear door to the plunge pool. Opportunist crime can happen anywhere but if you take all the sensible precautions as most of us do whilst travelling to minimise the risk, you an enjoy your holiday to the full. The location of the hotel is perfect, Te Puia within walking distance as is the town. Lots to do in the area, we could have done with another few days to relax before heading off to our next destination in Taupo. Washing machine and dryer are available pay at reception. Lovely pool to relax by, we often had this all to ourselves. Weekend are busier so plan your trip accordingly, would advise booking ahead.
This was my second time staying here and it is amazing. The staff are friendly, rooms are amazingly clean. The bed was very comfortable. And the spa is perfect at the end of the day. Would highly recommend to everyone
1 night family stay 4 adults 1 infant. In one of the older units. 1 queen bed 2 singles in the lounge area and a pull out couch. Has an ensuite private spa. Clean enough but definitely in need of a new lick of paint
I have szayed here for only one day, as part of a group tour. This is a good quality motel, very spacious rooms, nicely maintained kitchen. The location is also okay, 15 minutes walk from the center. If you are there for 1-2 days, do not look for luxory... this is the place to go!
Stayed overnight during quick visit to Rotorua. Room and beds were very comfortable and we liked the split level as it gave us a bit of privacy from the kids while still being basically in the same room. Hot tub out the back was lovely but it had some stains which was a bit off-putting. The kitchen had everything you could want (incl stove) but needed a coffee plunger! Room and hotel were clean and the hotel grounds were lovely. We didn't have time to go in the heated pool but it looked great. Bathroom was adequate but had some maintenace issues - e.g. exhaust fan not working. Service was very friendly and the location was great. Wifi was very slow.
Highly recommend this place. Customer service was great, house keeping staff were friendly and always helpful, good location just out of central Rotorua. Private hot tub was well used! Mezzanine floor was perfect to provide a bit of space and privacy, without needing multiple rooms. Wish more places had room layouts like this.
