Wylie Court is a nice motel to stay at. Had great interactions with the staff and found to room to be very comfortable. I did in joy there lager tvs as a lot to motels seem to only have smaller TVs. They have a good variety of room options as well. They will be revamping there room so keep an eye out for that. I'm sure they will be awesome. Hope you have a great stay LEON Thomas
Nice clean rooms and well equipped kitchen and bathroom areas. The spa pool was also nice to relax in. We have stayed here before but it is disappointing the restaurant is no longer open as it was great to have a dining option although breakfast is offered. The greeting on check in was not as friendly as we have had in the past - it all seemed a bit disorganised on this visit.
This is a great motel on a road filled with motels. Our room was very clean with a well stocked kitchenette that has everything you would need. We stayed here with our 3 children and we had plenty of space and having your own private spa is a real treat. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again. Good value for money!
Our room was located at the back of the property away from the main road. If we had longer in Rotorua then this would be the place I would pick again. It was a double story unit with a bed in the lounge area downstairs and a double and single upstairs with its own ensuite. Kitchen was functional and big but only had a two burner cooker. The private heated pool out the back was the only draw back. It was cold and with the wind blowing in through the missing sheets on the roof it made it worse. This was at the end of December and the day was warm but not warm enough to stay more than a few minutes in this. Staff were friendly and helpful too.
Check in easy, friendly and the rooms we had were spotless, comfortable, warm, spacious and quiet. Everything we required was available and the spas were great!! Being back from the main road meant there was no traffic noise. If anything we were probably a bit noisy playing poker, which was hilarious. Would definitely recommend to others (which I have already done) and would definitely go back.
We stayed in Rotorua for two nights. Wylie Court is a fantastic venue for a family getaway. We had two requirements a pool and a private plunge pool and Wylie Court ticked the boxes. Right on Fenton Street they even had a playground for the kids to play in before they jumped in the outside thermal pool. We had comfortable beds to sleep in. A kitchen with everything we needed, and if it didn't you just need to ask the friendly reception staff and they will accomodate you requirements, and the private plunge pool was a plus for us after a hard day checking out the sites and sounds of Rotorua. This is a lovely venue, quiet and roomy with lots of things to entertain the kids why the adults chill.
I stayed her while attending a conference. Helpful staff, nice room, thermal pool attached to unit. Beautiful grounds and nice walks available. Conference was nearby but this motel provide a pleasant and affordable stay.
Booked into here at quite short notice and we're so glad we did! We couldn't believe how nice our room was, so much better quality than anything similar in the UK. We even had an upstairs bedroom! The spa pool area could do with a bit of a spruce up as the perspex roofing above the pool is badly discoloured but this takes nothing away from the quality of the apartment itself.
Had a really disappointing experience here. We've been to Wylie Court probably half a dozen times before (going back almost 20 years) and always really enjoyed it but this time was a real letdown. Customer service was pretty average - it feels a bit like they're in the middle of an ownership transition. Biggest letdown was the pool - they have a really nice pool and pool area but when we first tried it, the water was too cold. We'd been there before so we knew it was supposed to be warmer; I let the front desk know and they told me that it must have been cooled off by the large amount of rain they'd had that morning and the day before. They said it should warm up by the next morning. Didn't sound right to me but I accepted it. Next morning I checked it again and it was still cold. Called front desk again and they said they'd ask the maintenance guy look at it. That afternoon the pool was still cold. I complained again - a guy came out with me and we went into the maintenance shed where we discovered that the pool temp was set to only 30 degrees celsius - it should have been set at 37 degrees celsius. He adjusted it and within an hour the pool was comfortable enough to swim in, within a couple of hours it was lovely. I was very disappointed by these interactions. It was an easy fix and it should have been done the first night I brought it to their attention. The fact that it wasn't fixed after I raised it with them again really troubles me. Did they tell the maintenance guy at all? Did he even look at it? I have no idea but this was really shoddy service that significantly tainted our stay. On the plus side, our room was good. We liked the kitchen area and the jacuzzi tub was really nice. Unfortunately, our service experience means that we will probably look elsewhere next time we come to Rotorua.
Nice traditional motel rooms with cooking facilities and a small jacuzzi. Well located for sights in Rotorua on a street with lots of other hotels. Slightly dated. Comfortable. Good value. Pleasant staff. Would use it again.
