The spacious outdoor entertainment patio provides the perfect setting for a family dinner or even a romantic one while enjoying the tranquil surroundings. Barakee is the ideal getaway for couples or families seeking both relaxation and unforgettable hands on farm experiences.

Barakee Homestead also welcomes your dirt bikes to enjoy riding on the property! We just kindly ask that you be respectful of the land and our beautiful animals, particularly the cows that roam freely around the paddocks.

We only ask that you ride with care and avoid any areas where livestock are present or fencing is in place. We want you to have an amazing time, but also ensure the safety and well-being of our animals and the integrity of the property.

At Barakee we believe holidays are better when every family member comes along, including your four legged ones! Our property is pet friendly, with a fully fenced yard where your animals can safely run, play and explore. We offer two pet beds.

Barakee Homestead was amazing. Picture perfect. Everything for the whole family including our fur babies. Very quiet and relaxing. Robynne and Schoie were amazing hosts. Very friendly, down to earth people who are happy for a chat They encouraged interaction with all the animals. Our daughter loved feeding the cows and horses. They went above and beyond with the touches of Christmas. We will differently be back.

Beautiful house in theScenic Rim

We stayed for two nights as two families of four. House was well equipped, clean and comfortable. Nice view of the valley, fire pit outside and farm animals to pat. Property is located on a dirt road a bit out of the way with great little towns like Kalbar about 25 minutes away.

Spacious and comfortable country house, quiet and semi remote with great animal experience

As a family of 6 plus grandparents we thoroughly enjoyed our few nights at Barakee. Its a beautiful hill top spot and the house is very well fitted out and comfortable. Robynne was very attentive to our needs during the stay and generous with her time to allow the children relaxed interaction with the animals. We can't wait to return!

Relaxing country holiday

We absolutely loved our stay at Barakee. Our children (2 and 4) absolutely loved the pool and feeding the animals. The hosts were welcoming and allowed our children to meet and feed the animals. The house was in immaculate condition and such great amenities.
