Welcome to The Mooncrest Cottage! Nestled back in the peaceful woods, it is a completely renovated 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom cottage with boho chic vibes that are sure to rejuvenate you during your stay. It is approximately 1 mile from the clear waters of Higgins Lake. Close proximity to Sam-o-set Beach and park (5 min), South Higgins Lake State Park (13 min), Good Times Party Store (3 min), and Forest Dunes Golf Course (34 min). Higgins Lake is a year round destination known for it’s water sports, hiking/cross country skiing trails and ATV/snowmobile trails.
The cottage is air-conditioned and features a kitchen and space to spread out with 3 bedrooms. Guests can enjoy a Smart TV and stay connected with free WiFi. Other standard amenities include a washing machine, a sofa bed, and a coffee maker.

Absolutely perfect place to stay

The pictures don’t even do this place justice. It is absolutely stunning and the owners have thought of every single detail to make your stay comfortable. From the communication to the well stocked kitchen to the beautiful furniture and comfortable beds we felt so at home. My family and I had the best trip ever and will definitely be returning. I can’t say enough about how special and awesome this place is. Thank you for opening up your pristine and gorgeous cabin to us! If you are hesitating to book this place don’t!!!! You will not regret it. 10/10 recommend.

We’ve been coming to Higgins Lake for four years now and this is by far the cutest, coziest place we’ve stayed! Really enjoyed the record player:), the kitchen had everything we needed and the beds were great! We’ll definitely be staying again!!

Winter retreat

Calling all songwriters! Mooncrest Cabin was an idyllic winter escape from the bustle of daily life. For this mama-to-littles it was just the backdrop I needed to get away, clear some head and heart space and make room for creativity to flow. I can’t say enough - gooseneck kettle for my morning brew, quiet sun-room moments curled up in a blanket, all the touches that gave me all the feels. This was the perfect place to revive my soul. Kelly and Charlie are warm hosts and delightful humans. They were fantastic and quick to respond to any questions I had. Bring your friends, bring your kids, or just bring yourself. I can’t wait to go back!

Excellent time at the Mooncrest!

Really enjoyed my stay here. It's very secluded yet just a 10 - 15 minute walk Higgins Lake. I spent a lot of time in the glass room overlooking the woods - it was cozy and serene. It has a very modern feel with the butcher block countertops and simple, clutter-free layout. It makes a very conducive space for working remotely or escaping the suburbs with friends. I definitely hope to visit again.
