This was an unseasonably cold week in Rome and the heating in the hotel was not working. We asked for additional blankets, which was like "pulling teeth". Apparently there was a lot of call for blankets! Every time we mentioned the problem with the heating we got a different answer, none of which was completely believable. There was certainly lots of apparent activity going on around water and pipes. Anyway, I left with a nasty head cold brought on by sleeping in a freezing room.

This hotel was well situated for visiting Rome. Easy walking to all of the main sites. Its on a busy(ish) road but where isn't in the centre of Rome. The room we had was clean and comfortable. We had a room with a wet room bathroom which was not easy to manage as it tended to flood the bathroom. The reception staff were very friendly and nothing too much trouble. The breakfast was as expected and easy to manage and plenty of choice. We had a meal here on the first night but found it quite expensive as was the bar. Across from the hotel was a lovely pizza/pasta restaurant which we enjoyed. Tea making facilities on request and free from the reception. Would stay here again if I were to visit Rome .

Hotel location was very good and 3 blocks away from metro station. Can walk to city center easily, aprox 15/20min. There’s one supermarket 1 block away, which is good to buy water and anything you might need. The room was very similar to the pictures at the website, all black and very dark. The hotel daily cleanness was great and, as mentioned on previous comments, the bathroom and shower were definitely too small. Breakfast was great and pastries always super fresh and tasty. Room soundproofing was not very good, could listen all corridor noises and at night the people at the patio restaurant.

This hotel is conveniently located to access the main sites in Italy's capital. Just a few minutes walk from the Vatican City and The Spanish Steps. The hotel is tastefully appointed with comfortable beds and all the facilities you would expect. We only used the restaurant for breakfast which was perfectly acceptable but nothing special.

We found this hotel to be the ideal location for a city visit - within 20 minute walk of the Vatican and close to transport routes. The hotel itself has a very good bistro which I will review separately. The breakfast is continental in style with plenty to choose from. Our room was clean and spacious, Very comfortable but the only down side was a lack of storage for clothing. a wardrobe but no drawer or cupboard space. We were there for a few nights only so had only a little luggage but with more luggage I would have found that annoying. All staff we met were friendly and helpful and we would definitely try and stay there again if we ever return to Rome.

Just returned from a 5 night stay at the twentyone hotel. Fantastic location in good walking distance to tourist sights. Bus and metro nearby if you find walking difficult. Rooms were lovely and cleaned daily.( no English speaking TV channels except sky and bbc world news) Breakfast ok but only negative is they don't really cater for gluton free dietary needs. Overall really enjoyed our stay.

We stayed here for 2 nights in Feb in a Junior Suite. The room was lovely, the spa bath was great! We Had problems with the jets not working but someone came straight up to sort it for us. I had read some bad reviews about the round bed but I found it comfortable and didn't have any issues with this. Hotel was clean and modern, staff were friendly and helpful. We had an early flight and were able to check into our room early which was a bonus. The restaurant was nice although quite expensive compared to other restaurants in Rome. Location is great, only a 10-15 minute walk from Vatican City. And about 15-20 walk to Spanish Steps. Also on a busy street with lots of shops. When we checked in, the lovely staff recommended an ice cream shop down the road.. so we went there and it's the best ice cream I've had! (I can't remember the name of the place but come out of the hotel turn left and walk down, it's at the end of the block on the opposite side of the road). Would definitely recommend for anyone visiting Rome. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Position, just the best, walk to everything from here. Rooms, super clean and modern. Underground parking 20 euros a day, great for a capital city. Breakfast and restaurant very very good in fact well above what you imagine from a hotel, as good as some of the restaurants we tried. The Staff, every single one of them were polite, professional, friendly with a smile and super efficient. Thank you.

2nd time of staying. 17 of us came for the rugby. 2 miles from the ground. Half a mile from the Vatican. Staff always very friendly. Ate in the restaurant and was very happy with the food. Only moan was that we had a disabled friendly room with a shower curtain. No matter what we tried we kept soaking the whole bathroom each time we showered. Will be back.

We spent 5 nights at Hotel Twentyone between Christmas and New Year. We had booked a suite not realising that they all had round beds. Not a good use of space and the room had very little storage and no bedside tables. After one night with little sleep we asked to change to a room with a regular bed. We happily moved to a standard room which was much better use of space and had more storage. The bed was very comfortable and the hotel was well located to explore Rome so we were happy UNTIL we checked out and they insisted on charging us for 5 nights in a suite even though we spent 4 nights in a standard room which was over 100 euros a night cheaper! We have disputed this but the hotel have an extremely arrogant attitude and will not budge, saying that we booked a suite for 5 nights so we have to pay for it. Apparently if we had booked a standard room and then moved to a suite we would have paid the lower rate for 5 nights. Absolutely ridiculous and doesn’t make sense! Please avoid this hotel the customer service was generally non existent.
