Great hotel. Would stay here again.

Nice boutique hotel.in a solid part of the city. Many bistros and food options on the same street. It's a 10 minute walk to the Auburn metro station. I would stay here again.

Very nice hotel. The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. The hotel it self is across the river from the city center but is a quick cab ride to any of the ancient monuments. The neighborhood is wonderful, a lot of nice shops and cafes close by. I would defiantly stay there again.

Twentyone Hotel is a very clean and convenient place to stay when visiting Rome to see the sights - Vatican, Coleseum, central historic district. Safe street with high-end retail shopping and great restaurants in the neighborhood. Will stay there again!

We really enjoyed staying at this hotel. We appreciated the location and that it was in the middle of the downtown area and the Vatican. It was refreshing to be away from all dense tourism and be in an area where some of the locals would actually hang out. There were great restaurants and shops right near by. The room itself was clean and modern. Small TV but we were barely in the room so it didn't matter much. It was a great choice for the price!

We chose this hotel because we had a pleasant stay there in 2010. Unfortunately, upon our arrival we discovered things had changed very much for the worse. Upon entering our room we we found that the A/C was not working properly. We notified the front desk. They sent what was supposed to be a technician and we found out that he was not and therefore the A/C was not repaired. After complaining a second time the same non-technician returned to our room claiming that he changed the filter and that was the best he could do because technicians were not on duty on the weekend. Next thing we realized the there was a cigarette order right outside our room in theis smoke free hotel. When we notified the front desk we were informed that they could not possibly any of the guests in the rooms next to us to refrain from smoking. But it was OK for us to continually smell the foul oder. We then asked to have our room changed and were informed that the only room available was on the 5th floor. We were traveling with my brother and had arranged for rooms on the same florr. Therefore, if our room was changed his had to be also. We were informed that they could not accomdate us all for the night. But when other guests were checking out the following morning they would then see about changing the rooms for all 3 of us. During the night the A/C was working but the smoke odor was as strong as ever. By this time the odor was in our room not just outside. Expecting to here from the front desk about changing our rooms we got zero response. At that point I went to speak to the front desk personel. There were 3 employees at the desk. ONly one of them desided to take charge. I found out thest she is a new employee with an (I am the BOSS attitude). I asked her if we were going to have our rooms changed and she informed me that there were none available and that I had FAILED to notify them of the conditions of the room. She claimed that it was not the responsibility of the staff to find out what the current status of the rooms were. Since there were 3 employees standing there I asked that one of them come up to the room to see how bad to smoking odor was. Thry refused. At this point one of the housekeeping stafff heard the exchange and offered to go up with me. She obviously agreed my complaint was valid and that she would have someone get in touch with us. That never happened. Please note that after the initial complaints were not addressed I informed them that in no way did I want to be charged for the first nights stay. Obviously, you know this was prepaid. I would like to know what steps you can take to get credit for at least the first night. PLease note that the A/C only worked during the night. The day was always were on the warm side and the smoke was ther for the duratio of the stay. Looking forward to hearing from you.
