The hotel has a nice infrastructure with wide lobby and big rooms. But things which we expect in American hotels is not provided. Like there is no in room electric kettle and tea set. No slippers available when enquired they were out of it. So its best to avoid if you are here on vacation and with family. Very small TV. Plus its far from the city and takes 1 hour to reach Rome in any case.
Hotel Antonella is a very reasonable priced hotel; however this seems to be the case for all of the hotels in Pomezia. It looks like it was a luxurious hotel in the 70's. However, time stood stil. The rooms are old, but I've never had any major issues except for the airco where the remote is generally not working. Regarding food, the breakfast is basic & I would not recommend to have dinner in the hotel. There is much better food in some of the restaurants in Pomezia. Location: next to the highway so you can leave immediately. However that's also the downside as you can't go for a walk (except for a walk around the hotel) as you arrive literally straight on to the highway.
We came late and got a warm welcome by staff. Rooms were clean big and had a fairly good breakfast the next day-if you need to arrive from airport -try UBER much cheaper . For those who need to be near Pomezia- this is the place
Overall great place to stay for one or more nights. Great buffet style breakfast, eat as much as you want. Large room with comfortable bed. Staff friendly and helpful. Only issue for us was coming off the motorway at the wrong junction and then finding it difficult to locate the hotel with GPS.
This is a very nice hotel with two problems: 1) It is too far from the center of Rome so it would not be a good place to stay of you are touring Rome and 2) The food is mediocre. Excellent staff and amenities
There is nothing wrong with the hotel Antonella itself. The staff is friendly and helpful, the room was nice, and the food in the restaurant was fine. But this is not the place to stay if you want to see Rome. It is far away from Rome in an industrial area - there aren't even any sidewalks to take a walk. To get to central Rome you have to take a hotel shuttle, a train, and then another train or bus - plan on 90+ minutes each way. Again, while there is nothing wrong with the SHG hotel Antonella, staying in a hotel in Rome proper is a much better idea for tourists who want to see this amazing city.
While the hotel was not fully booked, I got a room with a third rollaway bed in the middle, in front of the window. Ok for a party of 3, but a bit ott when checking in on my own. The bed sheets are old, the shower controls defective, the key to the gym went missing, the choices at breakfast so so. Yes, 10km down the road you pay 3x for a similar -much smaller- room, but still, but still...
I stayed in this hotel in 16 May 2018. though it is stated that it is a 4 star hotel. i dont think it is worth for two star.Rooms and bath rooms are seemed to be old and not maintained properly.service staff were found unfriendly.there is no kettle and coffee tea.dissatisfied.
Since staying here 2 years ago things have not improved at Hotel Antonella, in fact the place has gone down further. Tired room decor, AC still doesn't work, mosquitoes still make an appearance while trying to get some sleep and now mould in the bath. Friendly staff, free parking, decent wifi, complimentary shuttle bus are plusses, but dont make good for the negatives. Hotel desperately needs a TLC makeover.
