Just spent a couple of days in Rome, Piccolo Imperiale was a great pick,the owner met us on arrival and was really helpful,local cafes bars to serve our requirements, hotel was superb rooms immaculate and bed sheets changed daily, would highly recommend to anyone.

It’s a guest house within walking distance to attractions and a few restaurants. It is in a safe and quiet area. The room was clean and basic with tiny bathroom. The a/c took a little longer to cool. It was enough for one night before our flight back home the next day.

This is not an hotel, and there is no full time staff. It’s located in an old office building, with a small floor made into a few rooms. The access was up slippery marble stairs (no handrail) with an adjacent lift that barely fit the bags. The bed was comfy, but room very small, no hooks or rails for towels in bathroom, no shelf or place to put belongings in bathroom. Sink didn’t drain well. One day, a cleaning person mopped those stairs and left them wet (no sign « wet floors » anywhere) so my husband slipped and sprained his ankle. The day we left, we couldn’t get thru the building doors… finally found someone to open… it was underwhelming, and we definitely would not recommend it.

The Air Conditioner unit was set 16c fan was work but was only blowing hot air after an hour I decided to open the window as it was cooler outside. We stayed 5 nights starting May 28 to June 2 an one night on June 26. I had told the staff which reported it to Frederico that the A/C was not working. When I returned on June 26/2024 the Air Conditioner was still not working. But this time it was much hotter than the first 5 nights that we stayed. It was unbearable I had to open the window to cool down the room. Once the room cooled down to the outside temperature. I closed window to get some sleep as I had to get up at 5:30am in the morning for my flight. But at 2:00am in the morning it got so hot that I had to get up and open the window for 1 hour just to cool down the apartment it was cooler outside that it was in the apartment room. Unfortunately my wife refuses to stay there and I can't blame her, as we are already planning another trip next year.

Nothing worked in my room. I recently stayed at the hotel for 4 nights, and I cannot recommend it. The AC was broken and they wouldn't/couldn't fix it. There is no fan either so we were in the hot room for 4 nights. The shower could not drain - water was spilling onto the bathroom floor and the water was still sitting in the shower 6 hrs later. No more than one person could shower in one night! The drainage issue didn't get resolved until the last night of my 4 night stay. Housekeeping didn't replenish the toiletries or toilet paper at all! We ran out of them. There is no front desk. There is a staff person working somewhere in the hotel for part of the day only. Management never said anything/apologized/compensated about all the issues we had. I asked the staff person to tell management and I wrote to management twice but they just ignored me. Stay away from this hotel.
