I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Palazzo Baj Guesthouse in the heart of Trastevere! From the moment I arrived, everything exceeded my expectations. First of all, the cleanliness of the entire guesthouse is impeccable—spotless rooms and common areas that made me feel truly comfortable and at home. The rooms are surprisingly spacious, with high ceilings, elegant decor, and plenty of natural light, which is rare to find in such a central Roman location. A delightful bonus was the complimentary cake and coffee, available throughout the day—perfect for a quick recharge after exploring the city or as a gentle start to the morning. What really made the stay special was Laura, the host. She’s incredibly warm, friendly, and genuinely cares about making your stay perfect. From restaurant recommendations to helping with directions or bookings, Laura goes above and beyond—her local tips were absolute gold! The location couldn’t be better. You’re less than a 5-minute walk from some of the highest-rated restaurants in Rome, right in the heart of Trastevere. Highly recommended

Excellent hotel right in the heart of the historic district of Rome. There are only four rooms in this establishment, contained in an area of a centuries old building. The owner was there to greet us and give us a tour of the facility. She also provided advice for visiting the surrounding area. The room itself was clean and updated. You are within walking distance to all tourist attractions. Highly recommend recommended.

It was a very convenient location for us, walking to the Circo Massimo and Colosseum. Room was easy to find with Laura's excellent communication and instructions. Comfortable room, small snake area had coffee's, teas and snacks available.

This place was super cute and I would definitely stay here again! Its located in right over the river which we ended up loving. Its a bit further away from the tourist-y stuff in the best way possible. Still walkable to the Colosseum and the Vatican (30-40 minutes) but tucked away enough that we felt like we were getting a more authentic experience. The host was super nice and helpful with recommendations and assistance in getting rides.

This was our first trip to Rome and we made a great choice to stay in Trastevere (thanks to advice from recent travellers). Laura made us feel welcome from day one, helping us to find our way around Rome, offering great recommendations for restaurants and general assistance. The location is superb, easy walk into to central Rome, whilst having access to a plethora of restaurants, cafes & bars in and around Trastevere. Our room was what we expected, decent size for Rome and price range.

You won’t regret booking a stay!

Laura was amazing! She was so helpful before we arrived but was there to greet us, show us around and how everything worked! The location was perfect and her dinner recommendations were spectacular! We couldn’t have had a better experience for our last evening in Europe. The car service that she pre-booked (about 3 weeks prior) was right on time, driver was friendly and the van was spotless! Well worth a little extra money!

Great stay in Trastevere !

Perfect location for our two day stay in Rome ! Trastevere is the perfect location and this little suite was great for our family. We had two rooms and the reception area with coffee, water and pastry in the mornings was a great way to start the day. They arranged for our private transfer to the airport, and arranged for contactless check in when our train didn’t arrive until after normal reception hours. We would definitely stay again!!!
