Hmmm, could it be that she sold the room to a "full-paying" customer? Finally we were given a single room for the two of us that was not just small but untouched since, oh, somewhere around 1966. I paid a 3-star Roman price for a 1/2 star room but had no other choice since Rome was booked that weekend. You might do the same if you conduct business with this hotel.
