This place may not be for everybody. If you are looking for large, fancy rooms, this may not for you. It is a small hotel in a back alley, with a compact, but nice lobby. Our room was utilitarian and very comfortable, at a reasonable price. We had four rooms for 8 family members. Check-in was easy. The elevator is very small (2 at a time), and the steps are a bit narrow. You don't need a doctoral degree to operate the thermostat but it would help. The bathroom was compact, but nicely designed with a decent shower. That being said, we really enjoyed our stay here. The people at the front desk were remarkably helpful. The helped arrange a reasonable car to the airport, and made a great dinner recommendation (and made a reservation on our behalf). The location is a short walk to the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain, among other sites, as well near a bunch of places to eat. Breakfast was included and it was decent in quality and quantity, with a range of coffee choices.
We stayed at the Hotel Siena on our first night when we landed in Rome. The hotel had a very modern interior, and the beds are super comfy. Free wifi and air conditioning made the stay even better. The elevator is really small (especially for someone that is claustrophobic) but did the job just had to make a couple of trips up and down to get 4 luggage bags up to our rooms. Annarita was immensely helpful! She made sure our rooms were next to each other, she called up our tour company to confirm the pick up times for the following morning (as we were yet to purchase sim cards) and she also helped us in locating where the nearest 3 store was so we could go and purchase sims for all our phones. Breakfast starts at 7am - we were getting picked up at 7am so she made sure that she put out some coffee and juice along with croissants so we could eat some breakfast before we left. Location wise its perfect! Lots of restaurants and shops all within walking distance, and close to the trevi fountain and spanish steps. Although we only stayed one night, the service we experienced at this hotel made for a perfect start to our trip! I highly recommend!
Though our twin room was small it was clean and comfortable. Staff were most helpful. Our room was at the rear of the hotel so quiet. There were restaurants, bars and gelateries close by. Also a very easy walk to the Trevi fountain and the Spanish steps. Helen, Australia
We spent a few nights at Hotel Siena in September. Rooms although basic, were clean & tidy. Inhouse breakfast offering was mainly continental breakfast, with some eggs & bacon. Desk staff were helpful.
The advantages of this hotel are its excellent location if you want to walk and see the sights of Old Rome, and the professional, helpful, knowledgable staff. Wifi was good. It is unobtrusive, situated in a small street very near the Trevi fountain. It's been refurbished in recent times, with a black and white theme, and they've done the best they can with limited spaces. There is a very small foyer, and breakfast room on the ground floor, and a teeny lift to take you up to the upstairs rooms if the stairs daunt you. The bedroom we had was small - we managed to find space for 2 pieces of luggage. The ensuite was small.
I've slept there several times and never got disappointed.strategically located in the hearth of Rome with the advantage of being in a quiet street. Very good breakfast and friendly staff.Highly recommended.
Loved this hotel location and staff, always friendly and helpful. The breakfast is good - all the usual foods including fruits, pastries, cereal and eggs - plus delicious coffee. The location is great - a short walk to the Trevi Fountain or the Spanish Steps. And there are lots of little restaurants around the hotel. Try the little bar down the street - great service and food. The only unfortunate thing about this hotel was the bathroom. It was so tiny that the shower is only about 24" deep. Makes it tough to relax when your elbows are hitting the walls! But still a great hotel.
We've been to Rome before and needed two nights before our cruise left from Civitavecchia. We knew we wanted to stay in this location as it has become one of our favorites...Close to sites, shopping and restaurants. The staff at the front desk were all top notch, responsive to questions before our arrival and helpful while we were in Rome. Our room was a decent size with a comfortable bed, very good airco and a small but modern and clean bathroom. Breakfast was very good with lots of options. Would definitely stay here again when we return to Rome.
We planned on staying here for 2 nights in July. Once we got to the room, we noticed the sheets were dirty. We asked the front desk to please come upstairs and change them. They were not willing to at first and were giving us a very difficult time. Eventually, one employee came upstairs, saw the multiple stains, and changed the bedding. We were so perturbed that we decided to stay only 1 night. Was one of the worst hotel experiences had to date.
We found Hotel Siena to be well situated for walking to many Rome hotspots. Five minutes walk to Trevi Fountain, The Spanish Steps, The Pantheon and the list goes on. Heaps of lovely cafes and dining eateries nearby and lots and lots of shops. The Hotel & room are quaint inner city boutique style. Clean and friendly. The staff could not do enough for us and were so helpful. Would recommend
