quiet hotel near Ciampino - ROME AIRPORT (6 minutes) very clean, free parking .Good rates and very friendly staff at the reception . as well near the castelli romani a niche region for all kind of excursions. For a 47 Euro roomnight rate we got as well a upgrade to a suite...
The hotel itself is very nice, it is well presented, clean, tidy - with friendly staff to hand. Our room was a standard double, and again nicely presented (the shower is a tad compact), but other than this no real complaints. Our only gripe is the location. It is a bit of a pain to get to Rome (as in the centre of Rome, Vatican etc.) The website says a bus is 5 minutes from the hotel - but there is no actual bus stops, and we never actually saw a bus! You either have to get a taxi (60 euro), or walk 20 minutes to the train station (which you have to find via Google maps), get to the train terminal (watch the train times as they are not the same as the written time table) - then walk from there (this is 6 euro for 2 adults, return). Ideal hotel if you would like to explore the South - but if planning Vatican, Colosseum, Trevi Fountain etc....not the best location. 4 day mini break and we are going back more tired than when we got here! All in all a nice hotel, we would stay here again.
Definitely not a 4 star hotel. Although they had a room ready, they charged me 40 Euroes for early check in. The amount was ridiculous comparing to the 59 Euros of the room itself. The elevator was not working so I had to carry my suitcase from the stairs. I asked reception to send someone to help me and they didn't. The room was smelly and I ended up with a couple of mosquito bites.
You get what you pay for! We arrived in Rome at 8pm with our 10 year old daughter and needed a base for the night before travelling to our main holiday destination. The hotel was a 10 minute taxi ride from the airport. Staff were extremely helpful - especially on the bar and reception. We had a light bar snack and a few drinks. The bar area felt like a student union/ youth hostel - it was basic and lively but expensive (Rome prices). The family room was large (2 adjoining rooms with sliding door), with very good air conditioning. It was clean but very tired. Breakfast was very poor - stale bread and cakes! Free lift back to the airport in the morning to pick up our hire car.
We have stayed at this hotel several times over the years and I can't begin to tell you how disappointed we were on this visit. Unfortunately we prebooked for a $5 /nite discount for three bites and can't cancel or reduce our stay. No internet, handle broke on door when tried to get into room. Tv looked like it was torn off wall, towels for one, smoke smell in room, furniture soiled, etc. Help at desk was indifferent and gave lame excuses, especially on the internet. I am a pretty reasonable, but really bummed about this stay.
Common areas of this hotel are nice and clean and decorated in a modern style. The first impression when I arrived was positive. At 8pm I got the room and when I opened the door the bed was not done, obviously somebody slept there, and it looked like they did not clean the room at all. I went back to the reception and they gave me another room . In this room the shower door was not in place so since I was in a hurry since it was a business trip I took a shower and make the all floor weat. They adjusted the same evening but I think they should check before giving room to customer. The rooms where old style decorated and the bathroom not super clean. Breakfast ok Ok for one night business trip. I won't go back
The hotel is simple but nice. Located not far from Ciampino Airport near Rome. A night without Internet, is not an easy experience when you are travelling for business. "It is the fault of the supplier" said the reception manager. "Wait until the evening it will be OK". Evening came, and the morning after, and there was no Internet. Even if it is true that they had a problem with the supplier, in today's world there are solution such as portable 3G connectors - reserved for those who care about their customers. The room was nice, the breakfast was poor, and when I asked for 2 fried eggs I was asked to pay for it. So imagine you are served with 2 eggs and a bill to sign for your room. Wonderful start of the day. Upon leaving I asked for a discount because of the Internet failure, and I was told that this "would have been possible if I would book with them direct, and not on the Internet" Customer care....
Nice and friendly staff (very helpfull!) Great location, Via Apia Nuova you can get it all the way from downton Rome and give a straight shot! However, this is Italy and the Breakfast was not ideal (3 kind of bread and none that good...) The Hotel is beautiful, well kept, clean, but is not taking advantage of it full potencial. Too bad...
We were a family of 4. We stayed in the hotel annex and we were very satisfied with the service, cleanness and breakfast. We enjoyed our stay. We recommend this hotel to everyone visiting Rome but please bear in mind that the hotel is not in the city center but from the hotel room you can enjoy very nice views of the country side. Ideal for tourists with own transport.
Terrible experience, room ice freezing with no heating, when I complained they confirmed the room temperature was at 19 degrees and they could not fixed it. I went nuts when the concierge told me that it was a matter of perception, joker. The breakfast is a boxing match with the rudeness of the cheap guests.
