Happy with our choice! Nice size bed, comfy beds and good AC. Centrally located, within walking distance to lots of restaurants, 4 min walk to city buses and 20min walk to Termini Station. Friendly staff and we liked their terraza

My son and I loved the location of this hotel. We were able to easily get to the main touristic attractions via bis and metro. The neighborhood gives you a trie experience of how life could be in such a beautiful city. We will surely stay here again.

Hotel is located at a very good area, walkable to metro and bus. The Hotel itself is very outdated. My room had several issues like a floor tile missing and no fan in the bathroom.

Run down, but fine for one night

The hotel looked very tired and run down, not as good as the photos. I can’t quite tell if it’s just a bad renovation job or it’s just in need of updating. The bed was ok, but the pillows were lumpy and frankly a bit gross, they need to be replaced. The bathroom looked like it was recently updated? For us the stay was fine, it was only one night but I don’t think I would have been very happy with longer than one night. We did not get the breakfast at the hotel because 18 euros for each person was not gonna be worth it in my opinion. There are two places to get breakfast within 2 blocks that were nice and way cheaper. The neighborhood was fine and it was easy enough to catch a bus to get places. Maybe pick up a public transport card at the main train station though if you plan on traveling by public. Oh yeah, last thing, it was really warm in the room. It’s like the heat wouldn’t turn off so we had to crack a window.

There are better hotels out there ...

The description indicated VIP Access which I emailed the hotel to ask about TWICE but they never responded. We did arrive early in the day and were able to get into our room so that was nice. I had selected to pay the hotel upon arrival but a week before our trip a $245 charge appeared on my credit card to an account in Italy that didn't indicate C-hotels or Fiume so I had to email the hotel to ask if it was them. Also the price was supposed to include all charges and fees but i was hit with an additional $7.50 per room per day fee upon check-in so that should be taken into consideration. Carlos told me and my son that breakfast was NOT included but the minibar was. That was a lie as we were charged for the minibar upon checkout. And when I asked for a receipt upon checkout, I was told to ask Hotels.com for it - even though I paid the hotel directly, not Hotels.com. So as another reviewer indicated, they will hit you up for a lot of additional charges. The room itself was beautiful - and clean. Great job by their housekeeping staff. However, the hotel itself is in need of repairs - everything looks worn. At one point the elevator was out of service during our stay AND the wallpaper they were patching fell down and was laying on the stairs. Also you have to walk up a landing to the elevator bank so people with a handicap should take that into consideration. All in all, I'd give it a 3 - definitely not the "4 star hotel" rating that they claim it is.

Would go back anytime

This is a lovely older hotel that has received many updates, especially with regard to room renovation. The staff were exceptionally warm and welcoming. We stayed for a week, and I would gladly repeat the experience. The breakfast buffet is very nice, and there's a pleasant little terrace on the 5th floor. The surrounding neighborhood is probably among the nicer areas to stay in Rome. Although it's outside the Aurelian Walls, it's easy enough to walk to the main attractions. There is a real sense of community here, and some really great spots for eating or drinking (and beautiful architecture). Not so many tourists around, either, which is a plus in Rome.

The hotel itself was basic but nice, a bit away from the centre of rome but walkable - had to get a taxi back at night so bare in mind when booking. I am disappointed however that i had not been informed they would be doing maintenance/construction work in the hotel - I was assured it would be completed on the first day I stayed, as it was happening right next to my room, yet they carried on for another day, and I did not feel they listened to my complaint. There were also basic amenities I would expect that they didn't provide, e.g. only gave us one shower towel for a 2 person room. Good hotel and the staff were welcoming, but wouldnt rush back unfortunately. Love Rome though!
