Both my husband and I were travelling stand-by with Swiss international airlines, so we could not book ahead for a hotel. On arriving at Rome’s airport from Lisbon we used Hotels.com for our first night and booked C Fiume Hotel. It had a good rating and also a very good last minute price. On early arrival, the reception (Alexandro) had a room made ready for us immediately. We have been SO impressed with everything about this hotel we decided to stay for the rest of the time we spent in Rome. We managed to book direct with the hotel for the rest of the stay in which they gave us an even more reduced rate, and included the tourist tax as well. Alexandro also booked 3 of our tours for us over the phone, (as we do not speak any Italian this was awesome). Breakfast also was included and was excellent. We left for a tour too early for breakfast, so Alexandro organised a breakfast box for us to take on the tour!! Unbelievable! 👏👏THANKYOU for a everlasting remembrance Fiume Hotel. We will highly recommend you to all.
Stayed for 4 nights in Oct 2017. Room small but ,clean and perfectly adequate for our city break. It was at the back of the hotel overlooking the rooftops but quiet. Good night sleep on a good bed. If you are out all day what more do you want? Breakfast was included and what a great choice there was. Mostly contietnial , breads, cheese, ham etc but some hot. Oranges you could make juice with and cake! Approx 15-20mins walk from the station and with places to eat around.
We stayed at the Hotel Fiume for a three day city break. Can’t fault the hotel. The staff were very helpful and always friendly. There was plenty of choice at breakfast to set you up for the day. We booked a superior room which was very clean and comfortable. The bar is open from 6.00 pm to 11.00 pm and a happy hour from 6.30 to 8.00 pm. I couldn’t find my favourite cocktail on the menu and the lovely young barman took the time to look it up and make it up for me. The reception staff assisted us with directions and the best way to get to the sites and even provided a very handy map which we used regularly. The location of the hotel is a away from the busy centre of Rome which was a welcome relief at the end of a long day of sightseeing. Metro and local buses were very easy to use. You can walk to the sites which we did on a couple of occasions as there is plenty to see on the way. Plenty of lovely restaurants nearby. Would recommend Al Padovana. All in all we are glad we chose this hotel and would definitely return here when we next visit Rome.
We got married in Rome 38 years ago and this was a return visit to both Rome and the Fiume. We were pleasantly surprised with the changes made to the hotel. The staff were very helpful at all times. The bedroom not huge but spotless and the en suite. The breakfast was excellent for a continental breakfast. Public transport and taxi rank not far from the hotel. It is a 20 min walk to the main tourist sites. Overall a very pleasant stay.
When I first saw the hotel, which I later realized was not the main entrance, I thought to myself: This is going to be interesting. I was more than pleasantly surprised. Everyone greeted very friendly when we entered and the rooms are amazing. Excellent breakfast. The service is definitely 5* quality. Highly recommend Hotel Fiume.
We were pleasantly pleased with the Fiume both the size of the room and the bathroom as well as the friendly welcome from the staff. With a teenager a sofa bed never works well so to find a solid bed in a family room was a treat and there were no complaints! Breakfast was really good and staff were very efficient. Location worked well for access to the sights, with bus, metro and taxi rank literally just round the corner. Would recommend without hesitation.
We stayed in Hotel Fiume for three nights and had an excellent stay. The rooms are good and the washrooms excellent. But we felt that the air conditioner did not cool the room enough to our liking. The breakfast buffet spread was decent but it got monotonous since the same menu is repeated every day. It is located only a 2 minute walk away from the bus stop and all the main attractions were very close by. The staff was very helpful and overall it was a very very good stay! Definitely recommend this hotel! Cheers.
Came here for a trip with my wife, we both enjoyed our stay at Fiume. Breakfast was Good, rooms were clean and all in all Good value for money while visiting rome. Its about 12-15 min walk from termini station and close to buses taking you to central locations, the area is not heavy with traffic so you can Get a Good nights sleep without being disturbed.
The hotel is a nice place to stay when in Rome. The rooms are clean and well equipped with things one might need. The breakfast is good, and in a nice and quiet environment. The staff is very helpful, and knowledgeable abouth their city and speak good English. The only down side to this hotel is the Air-conditioning. The AC is in lack of a better word: useless. The sumner here is very hot , and the rooms are almost unbearable hot during the night. I have to spoon a wet towle and face the open window with a hope that the brees will cool me down enough to fall asleep. This might be just me, but as a person from Scandinavia, i require a cool room when trying to sleep.
This hotel is not in the heart of any tourist part of Rome, but it was in a quieter neighborhood filled with some tourists, but mostly locals. We loved it. You need to take a cab to most attractions, but the friendly hotel staff will gladly call a cab for you and it's there in minutes. We lucked out and were given a 4th floor room. Only these rooms have their own little balcony/terrace. It was beautiful. The fifth floor has a large terrace open to everyone and is lovely. Good breakfasts and great staff. Great local restaurants to eat at.
