I don't know how the facility is, because we never got in. We walked from the train station, but no one answered the door. A lady approached us and said she was the owner's friend and that he had overbooked the rooms. She said he had made arrangements for us to stay with her, but the owner never communicated this to us. He said he couldn't find me on WhatsApp and so had messaged me on Expedia instead, but every other host had found me easily on WhatsApp, and I never received any messages through Expedia. I was uncertain about staying with a stranger, but we took a chance, and she drove us 4km out of town and didn't tell us we were staying in her house with her and her 2 cats. We had paid extra for breakfast, so she said she would cook for us in the morning. The entire situation was inappropriate and poorly handled, and while the lady was very nice, we booked a different room and took the metro and then a bus to stay at an actual B&B that we knew we could trust. Miserable night, I don't recommend staying here.

This is a B&B without the services associated with a hotel - given that B7B Santa Croce was a great place to stay, conveniently located , spacious, comfortable, and very affordable. We had the room near reception which is huge- with a large living area with a couch, a large sleeping area with a queen size bed, and large wardrobe, and a pleasant private terrace. We had no problems checking in after 5 pm because we notified the owner ahead of time. The housekeeping lady was there. She speaks not a word of English, and my Italian is virtually non-existent, but we managed to figure out the keys, access to the building routine. I did think that it would be much easier on her to have written instructions in some of the major languages. The breakfast, brought to our door every morning (prepared by our housekeeper), was generous (eggs, toast, yogurt, sometimes a sweet roll, cereal, plenty of coffee and hot milk. having our own bathroom down the hall was not a problem- the only time I ever saw someone else in the hall (other than our housekeeper) was the last night, which was a Friday. We never learned our housekeeper's name (shame on us!), but please give her a generous tip upon leaving. As far as I can see she not only prepares the breakfasts, she cleans the rooms as well. She is there from early morning until the evening. After a long day of sightseeing around 7 pm we hopped on the Metro at Termini and she was on our car, going back to the B&B (probably to help someone check in)!

The delivery of an excellent, large, and well balanced breakfast to the room every morning on time. The convenience to the metro and other public transportation was exceptional. The staff could not have been better, constantly going out of their way to please.

Best kept secret in Venice

Amazing staff. Beautiful, quiet neighborhood.Easy to find using public transportation (a water bus from the train station). Explore Venice & come home to solitude. Walking distance from swim beach, shopping, restaurants & water bus. Breakfast was delicious!

a good place to stay

I would definitely stay here again! It is walking distance to the coloseum but what I liked best was every morning a delightful young lady named Pam delivered a very delicious and large breakfast to our room. The advice that I have is that if you're thinking of staying here is if you arrive after regular business hours, then call ahead when you arrive. There are other businesses in the building so the front door is closed after 5:00, however you can check in any time but after 5 pm, by sure to call so they can open the door downstairs​. The room I stayed in could use a coat of paint.

Santa Croce March 17

Our stay at the B&B was good, on arrival there was a slight mishap with our rooms but within half hour it was sorted and there wasn't any further problems. Each day we was provided with a continental breakfast delivered to our rooms at our requested time and on the last day due to leaving early for our flight they prepared us an on-the-go breakfast. The rooms was small but they we're clean, comfortable and safe very good value for money. On downfall is where it's situated it's around a 20/30 minute walk from the town centre but there is a supermarket next door to the B&B.

Home from home

Wonderful greeting at the apartment. Despite any language difficulties we were introduced to the apartment and shown everything. Breakfast was delivered to our door and we sat on the balcony to eat. Great place to stay and to explore the city from.

Lovely B&B with fantastic service

This B&B was exactly what we were looking for. The rooms were simple but well furnished and decorated, and spotlessly clean. The continental style breakfasts provided (delivered to your door at the time you request) were fantastic and really set us up for the day. I have Coeliac disease so have to have gluten free food, which always makes me a little nervous when travelling. The B&B Santa Croce did an amazing job with my gluten free breakfasts, and I ate just as well as the others which really made my whole holiday much less stressful. The staff here are fantastic also. They were very kind, courteous, helpful and accommodating. The service was much more personal than I think you would get at a big hotel which tend to be a bit more faceless. The B&B was also very conveniently located. A ten minute walk from the colosseum and a two minute walk from Manzoni metro station, meant we could get anywhere in the city without any trouble. The area itself is a fairly residential area, which meant it was quiet at night and we were never disturbed by noise on the street, despite two of our rooms having balconies overlooking the street (very nice to sit out of an evening!). However in less than five minutes you could walk to a number of shops, bars, restaurants and cafés, making it a very good combination of busy and quiet. I would thoroughly recommend this B&B as the staff were fantastic, the facilities were good and it was extremely convenient for getting around the city.

Great stay in Rome

We spent great days in Rome thanks to this b&b. Toillet was outside of our room but it doesn't matter at all and it's private. Subway station is really close and you can go colosseum by foot. Also there is a big supermarket near. Staffs were so nice and they offer breakfast 3.50 per person aday. I totally recommend this b&b !

Loved my stay at Santa Croce. The host is so hospitable and the breakfast is very very well-rounded. You definitely WONT be hungry. The bed is comfortable and the wifi is very good. The bathroom however is outside the room and is old and tired, but I didn't come to Rome to use the bathroom. Overall, awesome stay and would return in a heartbeat.

Adequate for short stay

The staff at this bed and breakfast are very nice and the facility is clean. However, there is no one on site the majority of the day, only at check in and in the morning during breakfast, so if you have a question or need anything, you have to wait until morning. Also, if you don't speak Italian, communication can be a problem. The rooms are nice sized, but the building is located in a busy area, so nighttime noise is a big issue; there are sirens and traffic noises all night long. The beds are very comfortable, but there is no bathroom in the room, the bathrooms are down the hall (quite a ways)...not so great, especially in the middle of the night. The room price is very reasonable, but be aware, this bed and breakfast is not a hotel.
