Our stay had some lovely elements and significant issues that future guests should be aware of.Positives:Thoughtfully decorated and cozy cabin in a neat, peaceful settingResponsive host who communicated promptlyItems of Concern:Listing clearly stated that breakfast was included, and our booking appeared to be at a normal rate — nowhere did it indicate we were selecting a “discounted rate.” After booking was confirmed and we began communicating with host, host said breakfast would not be provided because our rate was discounted. During the conversation, host removed “breakfast included” line from listing and declined to honor what had originally been advertised. The exchange left us feeling misled and taken advantage of and was a disappointing approach to guest expectationsPoor insulation made cabin extremely cold during a frigid nightCabin was missing a smoke detector and had non‑GFCI outlet near the sinkCleanliness concerns with a grimy space heater and algae buildup in coffee machine water tankMajor Issues:We booked unit specifically because it had a private hot tub, which we were informed upon arrival was out of commission due to a storm night before. We were offered access to shared relaxation spa and private hot tub can be repaired in morningThe next morning, we woke to the sound of a mouse (or mice) getting into our food and found mouse droppings and a chewed-through bag. We packed up and let less than 24 hours after checking in
