We have been to Sina Villa Matilde because we've searched for a luxury final for our trip through Italy. We've expected a bit more hearty welcome, but it was okay. We've got a nice room just above the reception. The bed was really good, the room spacious enough. Wow! But still there where things like spiderwebs in the corner of the bathroom (which I wouldn't mind but it's a luxury relais...), also the aircondition of the kitchen (???) or maybe other rooms was quite loud and a broken terrasse-door, which I told the receptionists and they just said something like "ok, we will look for it". We've had dinner there which was really tasty, but I really didn't like the fact that I got a menue without prices writtten, but my bf did. In my opinion that is not modern and bit too much "back in the days". Still, the room was perfect, the whole location is something like a dream, you'll take breakfast in one of many different types of rooms but all are really nice, somehow romantic. Also, there is a pool and fitness area which you can use. All in all I think I would stay there again maybe, but I didn't like the fact that one the one hand I felt that I wasn't appreciated (we look very young and I am tattooed) and on the other also that as a woman I am not allowed to see prices of the food I am eating...

We were pleasantly surprised by the woh factor of this picturesque hotel which we presume was once an aristocratic palace. Rooms and furnishings are very tasteful and staff friendly and obliging. Although there is an outdoor pool and other recreational facilities these are only really usable in season when the weather allows. Otherwise there is little else to do in this small village. We drove to Ivrea for a visit and found that very interesting. Breakfast was ample and of good quality except for the fruit juice which was really just squash. Surprising for a hotel of this quality. Other shortcomings considering the market this hotel is aimed at include a lack of towel gowns or any kettle in the rooms.

Went for a romantic gateway not too far from Torino by car. Very quiet surrounding. There are bicycles available for the customers who want to explore the area. Room we got is very spacious and clean. The breakfast was functional. There's an outdoor pool that we didn't get to try yet.

Very comfortables and elegant Relais hotel in extremely quiet location with excellent Restaurante! Ideal for a relaxing stay and bicycle trips in the beautiful surroundings. The rooms are generously sized, with great amenities. The menu is especially recommended, all included in the price, from mineral water, wine, coffee to all evening Grappa ...

This hotel is beautiful the public rooms are beautiful and our bedroom was really nice as well.We seemed to be lucky as we had air conditioning in our room. The wedding was held outside was wonderful followed by a sit down meal in the main room of the hotel. The food in the hotel was really good and even the buffet meal by the pool on the Sunday was extremely tasty. I don't know if we would visit and stay as we prefer to be in the centre of Turin and this is about 30 to 40 minutes away but it is an exceptional hotel.

Great staff, great service, delicious food, stunning view from the rooms... super comfortable and spacious rooms; also very clean... you really can't ask for more. It was a really great experience. Also, there was an impeccable laundry and dry-cleaning service. They even helped us fix a small inconvenient with a garment. :) They saved the day! :)

I have been to this hotel several times over the years for long weekend breaks and they have never failed to impress me. The hotel is great, the service wonderful and food very, very good. There is not a lot to do in the area without a car to get around, but it is a great place for a relaxing short break.

Lovely hotel with professional, helpful, friendly staff with good English. Quiet location. B&B or half board, with the half board 'set' meals a particular bargain. Excellent regional wine list. Good sized swimming pool, tennis court, small gym. The old building is spectacular, with many original features and decor, and several spacious reception rooms. Bedrooms in the old building are larger than those in the newer buildings, but all are fine, with good en-suite facilities and comfortable beds. Free use of touring cycles for guests, and a centre for Eurobike holidays (recommended).

We spent an unforgettable weekend in this lovely Italian villa with our children. The garden, tennis court and swimming pool were fantastic to keep them busy during the day, when we were not sightseeing the beautiful Canavese. The staff in the hotel were really helpful arranging our lovely suite with cot beds and providing us with gluten free meals. Villa Matilde is the perfect escape from the city to enjoy some relaxing time either as a couple or as a family. We are definitely coming back this summer when driving down from London to Italy. It will a fantastic stop for our long road trip.

We were looking for a getaway spot to escape from the hustle and bustle of London and relax to enjoy some peace and tranquillity. We couldn't of asked for more! We stayed in the beautiful villa of the 18th century, which used to be the private country side residence of a noble Italian family. The rooms are spacious and very well kept retaining some of the original furniture and charm. The staff were very attentive and always ready to support (they gave us some amazing tips on where to go around here). If someone is a foodie and wine lover like myself then you should try this out, as Villa Matilde is strategically located in the food and wine rich region of Piedmont. We've been doing day trips to wine estates, famous "Castel Magno" cheese factory tastings and ate loads of stuffed pasta (you need to try the "plin" pasta....incredible!). I will certainly come back here again when I need to get away from the city routine.
