All a good experience except one. Ocean view was brilliant, room was brilliant, staff and amenities were brilliant, overall a wonderful great vacation and yes I would go again. Only one mediocre experience was the food menu never changed but food variety was just not there. It's wonderful if you like to eat the same food, however I suggest you take snacks from home to help you along. All the water was filtered and drinkable, I survived with no problem, so I can attest to that. The room was about as best you can get and I truly wish I could go there many times throughout the year. There were absolutely no sales people there bugging you to purchase timeshares or Villa's. The "International Airport," although small is very efficient. But a word of advice, please check what are considered restricted items in the Bahamas. I took a small pocket drone to take pictures, only to find out that I had two choices to make once landed. Choice 1 was to leave 50% of the value of the drone with Immigration and retrieve it on my return back, or to leave the drone with them and again collect the drone on the journey back. I chose to pay half the value, so please remember to also take receipts on their value. (I ended up not using the drone at all.) The hotel let competitors guests onto the premises to use the facilities, which is not a bad thing at all. However their competitors would only allow you on their premises if you paid an additional "Day or Night Fee." I'm satisfied 100%.
We had a great stay at Grand Isle. Comfortable rooms, beautiful resort by the Beach and friendly staff. Only thing... the food. Really basic food, gets old Quick and unfortunately there are No other options around the hotel. The convenient store didn’t have any Water, so you are forced to by bottled water at the restaurant for 10 dollars a bottle. Otherwise we had a great stay and will recommend it to others with the exception of the food.
The restaurant staff needs to work on its friendliness and efficiency. Otherwise this is a friendly, kind and luxurious oasis.
Perfect quiet environment to enjoy a great vacation. Very nice.
it's beautiful but remote and nothing is included, it cost a fortune to eat in the restaurant and the food was awful. staff is helpful but i would not go back
In short the rooms are wonderful and staff accommodating. The beach is gorgeous and is adjacent to sandals resort. The pool is great. The resort has one restaurant and the food is just OK. Also food is very expensive. Grocery stores are far away and it costs 30 to 60.00 for a cab rt to go. There are kitchens in each villa. I recommend bringing some staples in your luggage.. Highly recommended place to stay. Very high end. Golf is top notch. Excursions are fun and can be booked from the resort. Not full of noisy kids. Mostly wealthy home owners looking for peace and quiet. Weather can be unpredictable. Bring a poncho. Tours are a must...we saw the pigs, snorkeled at the grotto, went bone fishing and saw turtles, sting rays, nurse sharks. These are must see things. Don't sit on the beach...bring a lot of American cash and go spend it on these activities. VAT and gratuity taxes add up..VAT not returned back to foreigners on exit.
Great place to stay. Very accommodating to any requests.
Absolutely blissful. Can’t wait to return. Gorgeous place. Excellent service.
Great location. Beautiful pool and beach area. Excellent staff. Villas are spacious, nicely decorated, and clean. Highly recommend this resort!!!
Restaurant was outside and no air conditioning Get ready to eat 2x a day in 90 degree humidity Was dripping by end of meal. Never seen a resort one one restaurant and no air ..not even misters Nothing Grand about this place at all
We had such a nice time at Grand Isle. Our room was beautiful, they have a great pool, good food, and Bertram made the best drinks! Staff was friendly and accommodating and the beach was very well kept! Will definitely be back!
Magnificent condo! First rate accommodations! I must say that I felt like slipped into a private home. The only dos call is that all of the unit do not face the beach...breeze. I would stay here again, for sure.
A stay at this hotel is not to be missed, especially if you're traveling as a family. The villas are gorgeous, very well appointed, the pool has the most stunning view and the beach is as perfect as can be. The staff at this hotel is extremely helpful and everybody always greets you with a smile. After a day they know your name. I rarely give such high marks to any hotel since there is always something that's missing but this place has it all.
Beautiful property. Wonderful staff. Great beach. Can't wait to go back.
