Security guarded hotel 20 minutes from the airport and on the main Dammam-Riyadh Highway. Spent a week at this hotel on a Business trip and really enjoyed the breakfast and friendly (all-male) staff. Though a little outdated furniture, towels and beds were clean and comfy. Amenities were plenty and fell in love with "Nescafe Cappucino" that was restocked every night. Excellent choice for business in Riyadh.
If you need to be the airport side of the city, then the Holiday is fine. Arrange pick ups via email to ensure arranged as budget do these. Breakfast fine, colleague had room service which was very good. Clean and functional.
A good stay, it’s near by the business gates, away from the traffic and if you wish to check out malls then there are couple of them in the surrounding areas. Rooms are spacious full of amenities, friendly staff. Variety of food selection during breakfast. Easy access and taxis available.
Stayed for three weeks during December 2017. Nicely built property and cleanliness standards are at par with 5 star hotels. The most amazing is the staff at the hotel and their services. Be it the restaurant staff or the housekeeping, everybody was eager to help and always smiling. The only disappointment is the wifi internet connectivity and its speed. It went off may times during the stay and have to call IT again and again. PS: request for room where net connectivity is good.
This is a very basic, no frills hotel. I have stayed here several times in the past and have had mixed experiences. The buffet is not bad, but overpriced. Once I ordered room service and received uncooked chicken breast. Hot showers in the morning are also not a given
Nice hotel, very clean and well managed. It is different to a holiday inn which you would experience in the United Kingdom, there were 3 different places in which you could order a meal, room service was free. Breakfast...well I have never seen a buffet breakfast with as many options! It was like a royal feast. The spa/gym facilities were very good and of good quality. I would recommend staying here if in the city.
Perfectly functional business hotel. My only issue really is with the weird layout of the same hotel being based on two sides of a road? This leads to confusion for both pick-up's as taxi drivers get confused. For drop off's, it is never stated in a reservation which side of the hotel you are booked into. I was told to be careful of this as my colleagues have been dropped off the wrong side previously but my taxi driver could not wait as i was held up at reception and luckily i was roomed in the side i arrived at. They could really do with being more clear on this. Other than that it was a comfortable business hotel.
This hotel is connected with a large compound. It has only two floors and very helpful staff. Hotel is surrounded by trees and therefore really quiet. Breakfast buffet is huge and permanently vouched. Good place to stay.
Hotel is fine, rooms a little on the small side and a little dark but well kept and decent facilities. I’m a Platinum IHG member and have stayed in a lot of Holiday Inns and this one was good. The public areas are very nicely presented. The only strange thing about the hotel is that there are two distinct parts, separated by a road. They are like a mirror image of each other. We had a meeting room booked which was in the opposite building to where my bedroom was, so this wasn’t ideal, as it wasn’t straightforward to just pop back to my room in a break. Nice hotel though and I would recommend it.
For a number of years, I spent 4-6 weeks at a time staying at the Holiday Inn Izdihar. I got to know ALL the staff, enjoyed the buffet dinners, inhabited the gym, and generally enjoyed my stays as best one can for such long stints. But then their prices zoomed and SABIC (my client at the time) pulled all their business. Now that the stays are coming out of my own pocket, I've moved to the Holiday Inn Olaya downtown. But the Izdihar was about half way between my new client and downtown, so we agreed to meet there in the lobby. All my old friends greeted me warmly even though it had been four years since they last saw me! And a waiter even remembered how I prefer my sparkling water served (room temp with lemon and no ice). They've refurnished the lobby: comfortable without luxury. But the light is good. most people aren't smoking. And the sandwiches are fine. We had two successful meetings, both before and after a sales call. It was great to be "home," even if it's just for a short while. (My friend at the front desk suggested that prices were coming down, so I might be coming back to stay next year).
