Welcome to The Hangar at On The Rocks, a one-of-a-kind repurposed cargo container retreat perched on Lookout Mountain just outside of Chattanooga, TN.The Hangar is named after its unique roofline, designed to imitate the hang gliders that can occasionally be seen soaring by from the nearby flight park.This thoughtfully designed tiny home is perfect for two guests but accommodate up to four with the fold out memory foam mattress in the loft. This home features a fully equipped kitchen with a refrigerator, induction cooktop, and convection microwave, along with a comfortable queen bed and a full bathroom. Large windows bring in natural light and showcase sweeping views of the surrounding mountains. Start your mornings with a fresh cup of coffee using either the traditional drip coffee maker or French press, with complimentary coffee provided for your stay.The Hangar is intentionally designed without a television to encourage rest, connection, and time in nature. Guests also have access to two shared bluffside fire pits located at each end of the property, complete with firewood and s’mores ingredients for a classic mountain evening experience. Please note that this home is not suitable for children under 12 or pets due to its bluffside location, and the minimum age for check-in is 21. There are three container homes on the property, each with one assigned parking space, and no additional parking is available. The property does not permit indoor smoking, parties, or events.On The Rocks is located 15 miles from downtown Chattanooga, 1 mile from Lookout Mountain Flight Park, 10 miles from Rock City Gardens, and 10 miles from Cloudland Canyon State Park, placing you close to many of the area’s top attractions.We are available by message throughout your stay and live nearby if assistance is needed. The vacation home is air-conditioned and features a kitchen and a balcony, and there's space to spread out with a separate bedroom. Other standard amenities include a coffee maker and an ironing board.
