Ford Cottage-Good central location

We enjoyed our stay in Forge Cottage. A clean and comfortable place, in an excellent central location. Only a short walk to the market place, and both Theakston's and Black Sheep breweries. Shirley was a very helpful host, providing extra lighting during an electrical outage affecting most of Masham for a short time.

Another stay at Forge Cottage Masham

I have stayed at Forge Cottage Masham many times, and i have enjoyed every visit !. I have tried other cottages but always return to Forge as i cannot fault it. I love Masham, the location, the countryside, the walks. It has all the essential shops you need and the locals as so friendly, everyone says hello !. Fully recommend a visit.

A week at Forge Cottage

We had an enjoyable stay at Forge Cottage. Everything was provided for a comfortable week’s stay in this spacious cottage. The cottage was cosy to return to after a day out. The location is perfect - just off the square in Masham. Would highly recommended & we will return as we adore Masham.

A wonderful cottage in a great location.

A great cottage, very comfortable. We didn't want to leave. The location is perfect for visiting the surrounding area. We will be visiting Masham again (the third time for us, but first staying in this cottage), hopefully the cottage will be available when we visit again.

Masham break

Another lovely stay in Forge Cottage. A perfect place for two! Cosy, warm and has everything we need. Couldn't be nearer to the Market place with shops and places to eat. Delicious meals at the King's Head, White Bear Inn, Johnny Bagdad's and Harry's Chippy Shirley and David are perfect hosts, easy to contact. We will be back in September.

A superb cottage in a central location

A high quality cottage in a good location in Masham. Furnishings and fittings were all very good and in a very friendly little town where after 1 week there was hard to leave. WiFi very good.

Long relaxing weekend in Masham

March 2026 - Long relaxing weekend in Masham, (4 nights) parked up and never moved the car until we left, perfectly situated to access Masham Market Square with Pubs, Shops Cafe's and a market, we bought some produce from the Bedale Community Bakery stall which were excellent, (It's the one with the long queue!!). Cottage is very comfortable and perfectly accommodating for two people, we took our own wood from home for the log burner, however you can buy this in Masham. Planning a return visit towards the end of the year.

Superb Cottage

Perfect accommodation in every way… Location perfect… Plenty of parking in the square… Masham is beautiful, plenty of places to wine and dine…. Wouldn’t hesitate to return to Masham and I would certainly stay at Forge Cottage again….

Great cottage for two. Comfortable, spacious, with all mod cons. There really is plenty of on street parking - so don’t be put off. Masham really does have everything, and it’s right on your door step.

One of the best cottages I have ever stayed in.

I can’t praise or recommend Forge Cottage highly enough. Lovely mix of old cottage with highest quality modern furnishings and fittings. Quiet but very central location in Masham. Another “hit” for Country Hideaways.

Ticks all the boxes!

Lovely and comfortable cottage in town centre of Masham, which is a great place for drinking (2 breweries at walking distance), eating (many options), country drives and/or walks. We're looking forward to come back.
