New for 2024, AC in both bedrooms and on the 3rd floor. Casa Bella Vista is a typical Ligurian House with stunning sea views .The village of Manarola is situated within the unique landscape of the Cinque Terre National Park. The property has been renovated to a high standard and includes Wi-Fi. The accommodation is provided over four floors with the additional benefit of a roof terrace. The ground floor entrance leads to a living and dining area with seating for 6, with a fully equipped kitchen on the 3rd floor. A spiral staircase provides access to the roof terrace for outdoor dining and casual seating. Bathrooms are situated on the 1st and 2nd floor, and each include a shower, toilet and bidet. The bedroom on the 1st floor has two single beds, the bedroom on the 2nd floor has a king sized bed. A double sofa-bed is situated on the 3rd floor.
The property is a five minute walk up a steep hill from the centre of the village, and is therefore not ideal for very young children or the infirm.

Getting to Manarola: The most convenient airports for the Cinque Terre are Pisa, Genova (Genoa), and Parma. Travel from the airport to Manarola is best by train, as vehicles are not permitted in the village, however public pay parking is available at the top of the village, euro 20 per day. Alternatively, it is possible to arrange in advance a private garage space at an additional cost of euro 25 per night.

Local facilities : Manarola has several excellent restaurants and bars, two pizzerias, a gelateria, juice bar and a cash machine. As a working village, it also has two small supermarkets, a pharmacy, Post Office and a selection of shops selling locally made gifts and produce.

Out and about: The best way to discover the Cinque Terre is on foot, along the many paths through terraced vineyards and olive groves giving spectacular views of the sea. The five villages of the Cinque Terre, Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza, and Monterosso each have their own unique identity, and a wealth of history to explore.

Further afield, La Spezia is the largest town in the area, and is reached easily by a 10 minute train journey. Portofino and Portovenere are also good destinations.

Host was in contact with us day of arrival. Smooth check in. Big hill climb to get there, but views were worth it.House is on several floors—you must be able to climb stairs. Rooftop terrace may have been our favorite. Views of the sea, great place to watch sunsets. Access to roof is difficult if you are very tall, like one of our group, but he spent more time up there than anyone else.

Family Trip in Manarola

Fantastic, clean property with stellar views. Management was excellent to deal with. I would highly recommend this property to anyone. There are steep, narrow stairs in the villa so I would not recommend this property for anyone with any type of mobility issues.

Unbeatable view with a few shortcomings

The view and location were great. However, the ants, hard beds in some rooms, and the intermittent substantial shower temperatures changes kept it from being a 5. We would stay there again. The view far outweighs the negatives of this property.

We had a great time sitting on the rooftop deck enjoying the view! We couldn’t ask for a better one. The beds were comfortable and the dishwasher and washer/dryer were great to have. The stairs are a bit steep for those that might have trouble. We would definitely come back!

Fantastic location. Beautiful home as advertised just like the pictures. We were able to visit and enjoy all five lands with ease from this location. Train quickly from Manarola to all five lands, or hike if you please. Restaurants, Coffee Shops, and Gelato shops throughout town. No bad views or sunsets. The rooftop deck on the home provided great views of the ocean, harbor, and sunsets. The owner Jo was an excellent communicator and made sure our stay was great. 5 Stars. If we come back to the area we would definitely stay here again.

The location of this property is outstanding. It doesn’t get better. Everything is close and the view is beautiful. However, this property had some quirks that made the stay less comfortable, such as the slouchy couches, kitchen without a few essentials (like salt), qnd leaks on the first floor (this may have been due to the very heavy rains while we visited). Also, if you have any kind of physical challenges, this property would not be ideal for you due to the narrow, steep, stairs. Manarola is a wonderful town, and we were glad to visit for a few days.

What an amazing house and even more spectacular view.

What a cool place. It is one of the houses on the cliff over looking the water that you see in all of those iconic Manarola photos/puzzles. Lots of steps and inclines but it is so worth it. The rooftop view is breathtaking and the town is amazing. Able to get through all the towns in a day if need be but 2-3 days is a perfect amount of time. Would stay there again!

Amazing view

Our family of 5 greatly enjoyed our stay at this property. You can't beat the view from the top floors and roof deck. We ate our dinners on the rooftop with a bottle of wine, watching the sunset. The bottom floor was cool and humid as it is built into the mountain and water can run down the rock wall, and we didn't use this room much, The bedrooms were comfortable and clean with air conditioning that worked well. Again, due to the constant humidity that is part of a home built into the side of a mountain, the lower bathroom had some mildew. The property manager was very responsive when we had a problem with the hot water on our last day. He came to the property within minutes of when I notified him of the problem. Unfortunately he was not able to fix it, but as it was at the end of our visit, it was not a big problem. Overall, this is a unique and wonderful home, and I would recommend it and would rebook if I visit again

We embraced the challenges this home has with the 55 steps and many levels - as the charm and conveniences and location and views made it totally worthwhile !! The management company was wonderful to work with and convenient to pick up keys etc. our absolutely only complaint was the rooftop deck area was Soooo dirty and covered with bird droppings gs and smelled terrible so we couldn’t enjoy our time or view from there as we had hoped it was a neglected area
