Postivies: Great Location (see negatives also) and access to everything. Great communication. I even lost the keys and they responded on time and importantly, can speak English. Apt has Washer, Drying stand, Water (not drinking water) is ample, shower is really forceful and enjoyable, Hot water, AC (could have been bit better but good), 24 hours security and gated. Very importantly we are Vegetarian and the Apt has 2 Gas stoves. It was very useful to have cooked and homely food at times.Grocery stores, Currency Exchange are very near. Uber, Taxi, Tour Pickups are available. if you stay deeper in Copacana, you will be stuck in Traffic. This is place on the road that leads to Rio downtown, not stuck in Traffic.
Negatives: Location, Apt is on the main road that leads into Copacabana from the city. Always traffic and noise even late night. very very active location. Apt is not Classy and worn out. Not like Ipanema or Leblon which are upscale including People around the area. I see people sleeping, peeing on the streets from the Balcony and lot of trash.
If you like very active location, blend with the real culture, this is the place. If you like to be Classy, upscale, dressing up for photo shoots not for you.
Regarding Room size, I guess should be similar to a Hotel room. we are 4 people and 4 big luggages. 4 people can sleep, but cramped. Again, I guess even hotel rooms will be very similar and no complains on the size.
Do not rent a car. Parking is costly.
