The room was nice and quiet, but the food was awful. It was not as advertised and did not tast nice. We ended up leaving dinner pretty much untouched. The travel iron supplied to each room do not work and considering the hotel is also used as a wedding venue, we were shocked they didn't have a normal iron to borrow. When we arrived we waiting about 10/15 minutes before anyone was free to check us in.

Very easy to check in, the room was very clean & tidy. The evening meal was well presented & tasted very nice. The full English breakfast I had was again nice & very filling. There was a good choice of Continental breakfast if you didn’t want the full English. The staff very polite. The whole hotel was very clean & well looked after. I would stay here again.
Beef & Ale pie with Mash Broccoli.

The property was in a tired condition. However the staff were welcoming and attentive a good choice of drinks was available the menu was quite extensive with a good choice the lack of fresh vegetables the only criticism. The staff and service was good.

Overall

Good Location, comfortable room, building very worn could do with a lick of paint. We booked dinner bed and breakfast dinner menu limited and some of the item where out of stock. When you finally get your food its worth the wait but does take an extremely long time the 3 course dinner will take more than 2hrs to complete but the food they did have was really tasty. They had a wedding on Saturday afternoon into evening when we left on Monday the glasses and empty bottles where still on the tables in the garden area.

Lovely hotel, only fault was poor wifi.

It was a lovely hotel and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food choices were excellent. My only complaint is that the wifi was poor and at times non-existent.

Hotel was lovely for a short stay, room was spacious and although a little tired, was perfectly clean. Reception host was pleasant and helpful. We would definitely recommend the hotel and maybe it was an off-day, but possibly the worst food ever, we were served in the restaurant!
