AMAZING LOCATION

We arrived to the house late at night so we couldn’t really see much outside…. When we woke up and went outside !!!! WOW!!! Amazing view. The outside areas of this house is where we spent most of the time. Great place for paradise getaway. There’s a coffee shop 50’ from the house. Incredible property. That being said we were blamed 8 days after our stay for smoking outside of the house. We did not. Same with holes in his outdoor furniture which photos were taken 8 days after we left and two other groups stayed there. Great spot and location, just wish we didn’t have to pay an extra 500

Paradise

This house is really a private resort. Views are amazing and lush natural vegetation provides amazing privacy. Your own door way and 3 steps to the beach. Upper deck views cannot be beat for privacy and the 180 degree view of the ocean and beach. Small pool was perfect for kids and outdoor area was where we spent all our time. You’re on the beach but with all the comforts of loungers, couches, and hammocks. House was clean but dated, which we did not mind at all when you have the ocean breeze blowing through the whole house. Jakes Java coffee shop 1 minute walk in the morning. Restaurants 5-10 minute walk. Easy 10 min drive into downtown Rincon. This is a hidden gem in a quiet paradise. This property is on a bluff overlooking sandy beach and the ocean. It is truly amazing!

Very disappointing

Firstly I have never posted a bad review until now. We arrived to find the top floor of the house flooding (water poring out of two bedroom ceilings and down the walls) and no hot water. We endured days of tradesmen in and out of the property and cold water. It was terrible.The amount of deferred maintenance on this house makes for a very unpleasant stay. You are just waiting for the next thing to break. There is gaffer tape holding the kitchen window in place, cracked windows, many appliances didn't work, the main sofa leg was broken and just propped on its side, there was mould on the utensils in the drawer, you had to wear shoes inside as the floors would make your feet incredibly dirty, the beach chairs were all rusted out, there was a broken pipe in the front and we lost power in the master bedroom... the list goes on. The most disappointing part was how the host Rusty responded. To help Rusty fix the house for the next tenants we agreed to have tradesmen in and out of the house, we were incredibly sympathetic to his situation. We agreed an amount for the refund which in his words 'no problem, I just want you to have a good experience'. When we returned from vacation he refused to respond to any messages and only refunded a portion of what was agreed. We felt incredibly disappointed and scammed, for all of Rusty's promises he was dishonest and didn't care about our stay. Do not book this property - both the property and Rusty are a disgrace.

Stunning beach property

This special house right on Sandy Beach is by far my favorite place to stay on my visits to Rincón. This time, I was with a small group but I’ve been there with a large group, and there is so much beautiful outdoor deck space that there’s a spot for everyone to have a nook to read, sunbathe, do some yoga or have a conversation without being in anyone else’s space. And then there’s the gorgeous beach. If big waves aren’t your cup of tea, this stretch of beach isn’t for you. We loved it and spent most of our stay there. So glad the host provided beach chairs and an umbrella. The price is on the high side, but you definitely do get what you pay for. Host also responds very quickly. I hope this house will be available and well cared for for years to come.

Staying with a family over Christmas

The house has a great location, it is nested at one of the most beautiful beaches in Rincon, Sandy beach. It has a massive deck overlooking the beach, the whole concept is great. However, the house is so old and dated, the furniture is so disgusting, the sofas are filthy with legs falling apart, they put clean sheets to cover it all up. The whole house was very dirty in general, we found the dirt between the plates that has never been washed, rusty oven, not working dish washer. The floors, the doors, everything was just so dirty, we all felt so disgusting. We took showers outside as the bathrooms were so dated and filthy. There is NO washer or dryer at the premises. There is NO hot water unless there's a sun out and even then it wasn't fully hot. The water pressure was terrible. There was NO smoke detector or carbon monoxide detector. We had to leave earlier as the top apartments had major leak and you could smell the mould and moister in the rooms. It is such a shame as Rincon is a beautiful place with lots of restaurants, coffee shops and the most amazing beaches, but the house ruined our Christmas and the whole experience.The owner was fair at the end and partially refunded us as we originally paid for luxury accommodation, but the house was just inhabitable. I hope the owner understands how amazing opportunity he has and fix all the issues....otherwise not sure that ai would rent it in this stage.

Exactly what we needed

First of all, Rusty is the man. Despite some things that could’ve ruined our vacation (a flat tire, similar incidents), outside of Rusty’s control — it was perfection. 4 couples stayed for 4 days. The view from the upper deck can’t be beat, the beach has practically a private section for the house, and the city offered a lot of entertainment. Couldn’t have asked for a nicer host and genuinely considering re-renting next year.

A very special place to stay on Sandy Beach

We have rented Coralina Del Mar several times - it's one of our favorite spots in Rincon - it truly is such a unique and special place. The house is adequately equipped with kitchen and bath supplies. The linens are nice and the beds are comfy. The bedroom lay out is nice in that there are several options for both couples and singles, and plenty of bathrooms for all to share. Some of the furnishings, fixtures and finishes are a little tired or out dated, but overall, the aesthetic is relaxing and serene. The outdoor space and the location of the property is what draws us back time after time. The lower level pavilion is great for lounging in a hammock or gathering around the outdoor sofas. The side deck is fun to sit at with a cup of coffee and watch the beach-goers and the waves. The pool is small but great for a quick dip. The upper deck makes you feel like you are in a tree house, with expansive views of sandy beach and the ocean beyond... it's the perfect spot to enjoy a cup of coffee or a cocktail and watch the surfers, look for whales, and catch the sunset. There are several spots within walking distance to grab a meal or a drink including Tamboo, Casa Verde, Jake's Java, and Jack's Shack. Slightly further, but still walkable are Casa Islena and Red Flamboyan. Rusty is great - always quick to respond to questions and very accommodating. We will be back again, for sure. I can't imagine a trip to Rincon without taking in the scene from the treetop deck.

Fantastic location and great place for a large group.

Our family stayed at the home for 10 days with 11 people over the New Years holiday. The home has plenty of room and has many places to relay and enjoy the great view of the sea. I have never stayed at a place with such a large covered deck and different places to relax. Rusty the owner called us shortly after we arrived and asked us if everything was as expected. We told him that we were having problems with the TV and the toaster and within hours he arrived with a new TV and a new toaster. He was very attentive and made sure we were taken care of. I would highly recommend this location.

2 of 3 days were great, 3rd day shower broke, water had to be shut off, not fixed before we left

The first 2 days were great. The property is located right on the beach and had lots of room outside to relax and enjoy it. Inside the home was fine and the air conditioning worked well. On the third day (Easter Sunday), one of the shower knobs shot off, releasing an unstoppable stream of water. Property Management needed to be contacted, all water shut offs were behind locked doors, 1.5 hours later the water was shut off to the home. The release of water was so great that no other shower or faucet in the home could generate enough pressure to do more than trickle out. The Property Manager was not able to get a plumber in to fix the issue during our stay. As a "fix" the Property Manager revealed that there is an "owners suite" on the property which he could stay in over night in order to turn the water on/off so that toilets could be flushed. The issue had not been resolved before we left the next day. Overall the property is in an excellent location in Rincon and is great for big groups. Plenty of room to spread out and enjoy. Lastly, to apologize for the water, the property manager offered a 40% discount on our last day. VRBO is currently looking into the issue.

Could not imagine anything better: peaceful, spiritual, gorgeous.

We had a group of 4 Moms and 3 of our teenage boys with us (ages 13-16) and we can't rave enough about this Villa. First, the location was the most peaceful and spiritual place. It mixes up direct access to a beach (which is calm in a.m. and waves pick up in the afternoon, which the teenagers loved), and also rocks and a 270%+ view of ocean, right on the ocean. The decks are everywhere and hammocks and we hung out at them all. Watching the sunset every nite was awesome! You can walk to coffee/smoothie places (Jacks Shack), restaurants on the beach and elsewhere are very accessible. We also loved walking up into the hills away from the beach. The inside was 2 apartments and we used the first floor kitchen as our main kitchen. We had one bedroom we did not even use (total was 5 bedrooms). Beds were super comfy and hang out area upstairs inside and downstairs was great (though we spent overwhelming majority outside). So much room, we likely could have had another 7 people and not felt crowded. Showers were hot and nice. We wound up staying in and cooking some nites as it was so easy (the grill made it super easy). It was ~2 miles to downtown Rincon and the supermarket (we took the car, but someone in our party did a nice walk there and back). Rusty, the host was so responsive. We did not have any issues but he checked in with us a lot and we got to meet him on way out and shared how much we loved it here. As friends we travel a lot and this was one of the most special places we every have stayed. Loved it was self-sustaining (except for AC's) with solar, etc. The pictures do not do this justice. The vibe was relaxed, and chill. We will be coming back!

EXCEPTIONAL large beachfront home...very special property

We came for 3 weeks in Rincon with a group of friends. The property has prime location directly on the highly desired sandy beach within a very short distance to Tamboo restaurant and Jakes coffee. The property has 2 distinct living areas up and downstairs but plenty of room to all gather together. Outdoor decks are spectacular...just stunning and huge. Sandy beach is rated the best beach in Rincon and it is just awesome. The host was extremely responsive and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable. Wouldn't hesitate recommending and plan on bringing our large family back for vacation this summer. Thank you Rusty for a great stay and for offering your home to others for enjoyment.

Wonderful Stay with Family

This house's location couldn't be better with direct access to the beach and truly beautiful views from the deck and terrace. We loved the different outdoor areas, whether to read on hammocks, drink coffee while looking out at the beach and the ocean or watch the sunset. We had everything we needed to be able to prepare and enjoy family meals. It was wonderful to go for walks along Sandy Beach. It's a plus to have easy access to some of Rincon's restaurants, bars, a coffee shop and minimart within walking distance, but, to be honest, we were enjoying the house so much that we spent most of our time there. Rusty was a very attentive and helpful host and you can really see the care he takes in maintaining this wonderful villa. We would absolutely love to come back!

Epic spot on Sandy Beach

Great location and access to beach. Walking distance to restaurants, bars and a mini mart. We were 2 families of 4, we split up by floors and all were comfortable.

Perfect Spot for Making Memories!

The location of this property can't be beat. It's like a treehouse on top of a rocky point overlooking beautiful Sandy Beach. The outdoor areas were a dream come true. There are several areas for enjoying the incredible views. Watching the amazing sunsets, surfers, and whales from the decks were definite highlights! The house had plenty of room for everyone. We had three families, 6 adults with 7 children. Although the inside had everything we needed, the outdoor areas were perfection for hanging out and spending time together. The property manager, Rusty, was the best! He was very attentive. He made sure we had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. After not being able to vacation for two years, this was a dream come true! We can't wait to go back to Coralina Del Mar!
