A nice hotel very close to the beach and not far from the main street/shopping. Had good internet, very nice people working there and the only thing to complain about was the air-conditioning that was a bit old.
The hotel is in an excellent location in the middle of Cattolica. We found the hotel to be clean and staff helpful. Only down side not a good selection of hot food for breakfast, The pool area was not used much as in a shaded area. We would consider using this hotel again as good value for money
The hotel was right on the beach. OK you had to pay for a lounger and umbrella on the beach s but you do everywhere. It it was beautiful. All the staff were polite and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. A huge range of sweet cake as well as cereals, yoghurt, eggs and bacon. Delicious coffee. The room had an excellent shower. The bedroom was clean and great view out to sea. There is a McDonalds next-door to the hotel but this made difference at all to us. We were wary because of some of the reviews but thoroughly enjoyed staying at the hotel.
I came here to stay to see the moto gp. Hotel was lovely and beautiful restaurants around. The beach was great too. Great place 2 visit. Friendly people. Would come here again. Hotel food is also good. Staff are friendly and most helpful.
Lets start with the positive side: location- right on the beach -reasonable clean, but old textiles in the room For the negative side I have a long list: -part of this 4 star hotel is above a Mc Donald's fast food. Of course we got a room in that ugly wing of the building, which doesn't fit with the classic air this hotel is trying to inspire. - room was old and outdated - no slippers ( no carpet on the floor); washing liquid (3 in 1) in 2 big dispensers in the bathroom - breakfast sucks ( too many sweets) - internet a disaster - minibar contains 2 bottle of water - the beach right behind the hotel is operated by someone else- cost 20Euro/day/ 2 beach chairs - no customer service at all- no one asked how we are feeling or if we need anything - anyone can enter the hotel through the Mc Donald's door, and get to any floor - super noisy till midnight
I have been at Kursaal hotel for my first time and I have to confess that I have never seen a hotel on the beach indeed....this setting allow to spare a lot of time especially if you have kids over....can stay at the beach up to the sunset , have a shower and be already in the centre of the town in less than 1 minute....the sight from the. Room is breathtaking and you can have the chance to delight the panorama from room balcony in maximum relax About the staff I think the new management will quickly make this hotel get into a good level ...starting from scratch as they did in so few weeks is itself a miracle...congratulations guys ...go ahead this way, soon this hotel will master the Riviera Romagnola!!
So I was quite sceptical after reading previous reviews but took a punt for the budget we had available. Can't fault the location but you must get a sea view room as the square opposite has live music until late. Book parking, well worth the €10.00 a day for secure underground parking otherwise parking is really hit and miss in the area. We had a junior sea view suite in the modern (but ugly) extension. It isn't really a suite but a good sized room able to take 3 adults - seperate bed instead of a sofa bed in ours for the third person. It is ready for a spruce up but not as tatty as I anticipated. The room/bathroom were clean, sheets crisp, plenty of towels. Good a/c. Free wifi. Unfortunately for some bizarre reason they did not make enough tables available in the breakfast area - partially partitioned off - possibly lack off staff but they did their best to keep tables cleared even though we had to prompt for relaying. Ok breakfast selection, fruit, yoghurts, croissants, cakes and bread, eggs and bacon, cheese and meats. Ask for freshly made coffee/cappucino (we found out by accident) as the stuff in th machine is not good. Reception staff efficient, porter helped with luggage to and from garage but not to room. For the money, parking and location 9/10. Great for our 2 day stopover but not a weeks holiday. The four stars really are just the facilities. If you want a better standard in Cattolica, spend more money!
Great location, if one doesn't want to sleep early in the eveving and one doesn't mind the noise coming from the square in front of the hotel with a music stage. Very loud music in the weekends. Also outside in the Rimini of the building there is a discotheque type of a venue, which resulted me to sleep with two earplugs in each ear and I still couldn't sleep. Luckily the noise there ended at 11 p.m. and another room on the beachside for the following nights. The whole hotel has a potential but needs badly decorating, renovating and paint. The rooms were well cleaned. The whole staff was extremely helpful. Yhe pool area was a dissappointment: a very narrow pool with practically no sunbathing area and children playing in the pool, hence no chanche for swimming but early in the morning. The beach was a rip-off, charge for one chair and a parasol 57 euros for three nights and no reduction for hotel guests. Breakfast was good but the breakfast room was a bit untidy. Wi-fi worked only occasionally and was very slow. The town was pleasant, many good restaurants and reasonable shopping facilities.
We arrived around midnight. Got our room which had a small "historical" balcany, went for a bite to the city after a long day's travelling and when we got back asked for some real wine glasses for our wine. The room was big and the bathroom spacious. Specially the high ceiling was great. Room was slightly outdated but it didn't bother us since the view to the beach day and night was spectacular. The cleaning ladies were very efficient and every one of the smallest things were so in order. Specially towels were big and soft. Wi-fi was working everywhere even on the beach. The Beach Zone44 was shared with Hotel Europa Monetti and was so clean and well taken care for! The breakfast was ok even with some scrambled eggs.
Had better expectation for this place. Location was great, and parking inside is a plus. Rooms need refurbishment: still old style. Price are fair given the location, but they need to improve the quality especially of the breakfast given what the competition does.
