Very nice people, good cleaning, good guys by the swimmingpool. A very luxurieus Hotel for a very nice price. Good location. Near the beach and the shopping street. A lot of restaurant near by. The breakfast is sublime and in the evening some entertainment.
We first explored the town of Rimini on the first day. For this we made use of the free bicycles (first three hours). Delicious. In the evening, it is very nice at the bar on the street side. The waiter Davide makes delicious cocktails for you; Let yourself be tempted and enjoy a fresh drink and a bite
Great service, nice structure, a great choice! If you are going to Rimini for a business solution, Hotel Ambasciatori and its group (other hotels and restaurants) is a must! Ottimo servizio, bella struttura, una gran scelta!
I enjoyed a special cocktail not yet on menu, made by a professional ! It is nice have some one that is passionate in his job. He will be very pleased to explain you everything about your drink if you are interest in. The bar it self have particular charm with nice black marble. Great drink !
Lovely clean hotel located very near the sea front. A 2 minute walk with all your stuff across a main road if going in the summer. Staff could not do enough for us. Little nibbles on the bar for an early evening drink. Restaurant was not open because if the time of year so cannot comment. Breakfast plentiful. A lot to chose from. Rooms were spotless. Located on what I think is the main strip in Rimini. Little shops along the road and plenty of restaurants. Small hotel pool and I think there is a spa.
The Room was really nice .. spacious , clean and also the bathroom . The position of the hotel is fantastic! And the breakfast room on the roof top is great .. with lovely view of the beach ! Concierge was ready , welcoming and very attent! It was a short stay so I hope I Come back to enjoy more !
We stayed here for 10 nights in August. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful with a lot of choice. The room was a little small for 3 of us, otherwise comfortable and very clean. The only drawback is there are no sunbeds included at the beach.
Whatever hotel General Manager Marco Semprini decides to manage, the customers are sure to follow! Of course, not everyone will fully understand our statement above, but those of you who grew up with the American nursery rhyme “Mary Had a Little Lamb” (written by Sarah Josepha Buell Hale in 1830 and first recorded by Thomas Edison in 1878 on his newly-invented phonograph) will understand its meaning. This was our 2nd stay at Hotel Ambasciatori, which is as close to the beautiful Rimini beach as one can get. We stayed at the hotel for the first time in September 2010 for 18 nights. Then when Mr. Marco Semprini took over as general manager in 2014 we revisited the hotel in September 2015. This time we stayed at Hotel Ambasciatori for 27 nights (arriving Sept. 2nd and departing Sept. 29th), and our stay was long enough for us to be able to thouroughly and objectively evaluate the hotel and its staff. In short, we had a wonderful time, primarily because of the excellent management and staff, our beautiful, comfortable, and clean hotel room in which we felt very much “at home”, and the hotel’s well-maintained facilities. Our stay was on a “bed and breakfast” basis. (1) Our Beautiful, Comfortable, and Clean Luxury Suite Room # 406 Our Luxury Suite room # 406 was located on the 4th floor and was a large (37.5 m2) corner room. Mr. Semprini had shown this room to us in 2014 when he kindly provided us with a tour of the hotel, and when we saw room # 406 we immediately “fell in love” with it! And sure enough the “love affair” lasted all 27 nights of our stay. The room is really two rooms – one medium-sized bedroom and a large combined living and dining room that was zoned nicely. The living room couch folded out into a bed. The dining room table was round with a nice clear glass top and had four chairs. The large beautiful seafront view that spanned the entire wall is both breathtaking and calming. There is a small balcony (with a table and two chairs) that is reached from the bedroom. We also like the bathroom because it has a long counter area with two his/her sinks and plenty of room to store our various toiletries. The bathtub/shower has a jet stream that is really relaxing. This is a non-smoking room on a non-smoking floor, and we did not have any trouble with people in other rooms breaking the rules and smoke drifting over to our room via the ventilation system, corridors, etc. (and if we would have had trouble with smoking, we are sure that Mr. Semprini would have handled this matter in a professional and tactful manner) - this was extremely important to us since one of us suffers dearly from smoke allergies and previously we had a very unpleasant stay at the Estival Park hotel in La Pineda, Spain because management refused to enforce its own clearly-stated no-smoking policy. There were two nice televisions in the bedroom and living room. There was a mini-bar refrigerator with drinks and snacks. There was also a teapot with free tea and coffee. The main person responsible for cleaning and maintaining our room on a daily basis was Cecilia, an experienced, professional, excellent, and hard-working housekeeper with a kind heart. Cecilia is originally from Chile, has lived in Italy for 25 years, and has worked at Hotel Ambasciatori for 17 years, and it was apparent to us that Cecilia values her job at the hotel. (2) Free Wifi Access throughout Hotel and Free Use of Hotel’s Computer in the Lobby We had free wifi access in our room and in public areas of the hotel. In addition, the hotel provides a computer with free internet access in the lobby to the right of the reception area. (3) Buffet Breakfast The buffet breakfast is served from 7 to 10:30 a.m. and is located in a panoramic roof garden room on the 6th floor. The buffet breakfast was included in the price of our room since we requested “bed and breakfast”. The buffet provides good value and quality and has a large selection of food and drinks. The buffet breakfast consists of: (a) fresh fruit (pineapple, kiwi, bananas, apples, melon, oranges, fresh fruit salad) and fruit in syrup; (b) yoghurts and cereals; (c) cold items (hard boiled eggs, cherry tomatoes, cooked ham, salami); (d) hot items (bacon, sausage, wieners, scrambled eggs, as well as fried eggs upon request); (e) cheese (two to three types); (f) bread, breadsticks, crackers, croissants, pastries, and cakes; (g) preserves, honey, nutella chocolate-hazelnut spread, butter; (h) coffee (Americano, as well as espresso and cappuccino upon request), tea (assortment of black, green, and flavored teas), hot chocolate; (i) milk, mineral water (still & sparkling), fruit and vegetable juices, as well as spremuta/natural fruit juices (orange, grapefruit); (j) nut selection (hazelnuts, walnuts, pumpkin seeds) and raisins; and (k) diet and gluten-free food and drinks. In addition, if there is any specific food or drink that you would like but that is not on the buffet breakfast tables, you can simply ask whether the restaurant has it and whether it is included in the buffet breakfast price. Finally, we should mention that Hotel Ambasciatori also serves a dinner buffet downstairs on the 1st floor which has an excellent food selection. (4) Fitness Complex (gym, Turkish bath, and shower) The fitness complex (consisting of a small gym, Turkish bath, and shower) is not exquisite, but it is definitely adequate, and we used it at least three times a week. There were towels, robes, soap, shampoo, and slippers available there. Bathrooms were nearby. We always telephoned reception to have someone turn on the Turkish bath, and it was always ready and hot for us when we arrived. (5) Pool Area that is Very Nice and with a Large Clean Pool There were tables/chairs and sunbeds in the pool area. There was both a sunny area and a shaded area for those who want relief from the sun at times. Hotel Ambasciatori’s pool is a large one and is in an L-shape. Unlike the situation at Holiday Inn Rimini (whose pool closes in early September every year because the pool area is transformed into a convention facility), Hotel Ambasciatori’s pool area and pool stayed open during all of September. This was very important to us since in September the weather in Rimini can be unstable and unpredictable, and as a result at times it is better to be at the pool than on the beach. We often saw Ali and Roland taking care of maintenance of the pool, and we were very impressed because it was evident to us that they considered this a priority. When we use any pool, we like for it to be very clean and well-maintained. On the other side of the pool area, there is a nice outside bar area (directly in front of the bar inside) where you can order drinks and food. (6) Bicycles We always enjoy the bicycles at the hotels in Rimini. Bicycles were available at Hotel Ambasciatori during all 27 nights of our stay. For the most part, we rode the bicycles in early evening for approx. 5 kilometers to our favorite restaurant in Rimini “Terrae Maris” located at Viale Paolo Toscanelli 138, where many nights, night after night, without ever once tiring of our dining experience we had branzino (seabass), orata (dorado), pasta with mussels, and salad. On the way to Terrae Maris, we always rode our bicycles on Via Colleti so that we could see Maria, the friendly and hard-working owner of the piada and cassoni mini cafe at Via Coletti 164B where we ate lunch sometimes. There is something both adventurous and romantic about bicycle rides, and thus we look forward to enjoying the bicycles again at Hotel Ambasciatori. (7) Beach # 24 and its wonderful owners, Guiseppe and Franca, and manager, Davide There are five things that keep us coming back to Rimini – beach, hotel, people, food, and culture. We really like the beach in Rimini – light sand, wide width, long length, cleanliness, and safety. During all of our four stays in Rimini (2010, 2013, 2014, and 2015), we have always returned year after year to Beach # 24. Guiseppe and Franca have owned Beach # 24 for many years now, and they are still going strong! Before that, Guiseppe’s parents owned Beach # 24. It is evident to us that Beach # 24 not only has a long family tradition but also Guiseppe and Franca through their excellent customer service and hard work pay homage to this tradition. Working with Guiseppe and Franca for many years now is their hard-working and friendly manager, Davide, who is also a world traveller in his spare time and an excellent photographer. At Beach # 24 we paid a 10 EUR daily rate for 1 umbrella and 2 sunbeds. And, we enjoyed the wonderful company of Guiseppe, Franca, and Davide in the process! As a sidenote, the hotel can quote a room price that includes beach facilities if a customer desires this. (8) Management and Staff We decided to end our review with Hotel Ambasciatori’s excellent management and staff. According to google translate, Ambasciatori in Italian means “ambassadors”. By definition, an ambassador is a person who is a representative or a promoter of a specific activity, whether the activity be that of a government or of an industry such as the hotel/hospitality industry. In our estimation, management and staff either “make or break” a vacation experience, especially when guests are at a hotel for a long-term stay (27 nights). Thus, we want to say a special “thank you” to the truly professional ambassadors at Hotel Ambasciatori who made our stay a most wonderful experience: General Manager - Marco Semprini; Reception/Front Office Staff: Rocco, Carlo, Giulia, Luigia, and Riccardo; Housekeeping Staff: Patrizia (housekeeping/maintenance manager), Cecilia (cleaned our room 406); Daniela, Olga, Vanya, and Olga; Maintenance Staff: Roland, Giovanni, and Ali; Breakfast Buffet/Bar Staff: Mauro (manager), Isabel, Anna, Donato, Igino, and Federica. Finally, we would like to state that the hotel/hospitality industry, especially in a beach/vacation environment, is a very intensive industry to work and serve in and is characterized by exceptionally long hours and often 6- to 7-day work weeks, especially during the summer months. We hotel customers should keep this in mind as we travel throughout the world to various vacation destinations, i.e., our humanity and our kindness towards people in this intensive industry are just as important as the hotel room that we stay in. (9) Conclusion In deciding whether we truly enjoyed our stay at a hotel, we have one primary question that we ask ourselves each time: “Would we stay there again?” In answering this question as regards Hotel Ambasciatori, our answer is “yes, definitely!” And if Mr. Marco Semprini continues to manage Hotel Ambasciatori, our answer is, “si, sicuramente, decisamente”!
we arrived on a rainy day and with a very large group, and yet our bags were waiting in the room and the process of checking us in very effective, the room was smallish, but with a good side view of the beach from the small balcony, we did not use other facilities but we loved the complementary breakfast on the top floor
The Hotel Ambasciatori was one of the best hotels I've ever staid in Italy. Very old style, very vintage - and very nice! - this icon of the 80's is filled with passion, lovely staff and amazing breakfast! The room's only problem was no bathtub, but everything else compensated for it: nice balcony with a view to the sea just 10meters away, a breakfast room on the top floor with an immense blue across the sea and, finally, an amazing bar with the best cocktails and spritz! all in all, will be staying again!
