Great stay for American solo traveler

Absolutely wonderful stay! The hotel was so clean and modern. The woman at the front desk spoke fluent English and was very kind. The location is great as well, near so many restaurants, making to easy walking about to explore the city. If I am ever in Rijeka again I will certainly stay here.

This place was nice enough once we got there. Had to haul our bags up 4 flights of stairs. The room was modern but bad layout. It seemed compared to other places that they just wanted the money and give the guests as little as possible.

Reception staff were extremely helpful and gave recommendations for places to visit or best restaurants. It is upstairs, no elevator so not appropriate for those with mobility problems. But in a beautiful old building with extremely clean beautifully renovated rooms. Located right on the central square old town and with a huge farmer’s market daily just one street away and the marina a few blocks.

The room was very nice. It is definitely more of a place for couples, than friends. The concierge was very friendly and offered us welcome shots! The location was a little challenging to find and you enter through a larger building and climb 2 long staircases up to a floor, which is reserved for guest rooms. There is no elevator and we would not recommend for elderly or people with mobility problems. Overall, location was very central. Coffee and juice the next morning at the adjoining cafe, was nice. Overall, a good stay- just be prepared to carry your luggage up 2 flights of stairs!

Once I was in the hotel it was great. I am very glad the hotel gave me specific directions on how to get into the hotel because I would have had a hard time finding it otherwise. The hotel entrance is through a door on the street into a kind of dodgy looking hallway and stairs. There is no lift to the second floor and then just a small sign indicating the hotel entrance, which is locked. The staff person at the desk was extremely cordial and helpful, and the room was spacious, modern, and clean. My only suggestion would be to add a waste basket to the room in addition to the tiny one in the bathroom.

A great hotel in central Rijeka, with wonderful staff --so kind and helpful with the early check-in and with transfer to a different room when we extended our stay by one day. Thanks a lot! (Older people with reduced mobility may want to be aware that this hotel is on the 2nd floor of an older building and there is no elevator.)

Charming and great staff

The staff was fantastic. It was all very newly renovated and so charming . The location was great and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It did have many steps which may not work for elderly or disabled, however staff carried luggage for us. They were wonderful and I definitely enjoy this place again !

Beautiful, newer hotel (5yr old) with all the expected amenities and a few extra! Friendly, helpful staff and easy check in/out. Lots of dining options within steps and the old town was within walkable distance. Avoid if steps are an issue as hotel is up 4 flights of stairs with no elevator.

This is a great place. 3rd floor large windows opening onto the pedestrian street and a glimpse of the harbour. Amy at reception was exceptional. Complimentary coffee, juice, and pastry from the Teatro Lounge in morning was a nice touch.

We were greeted so warmly by Vldka and found the location conveniently located very close to the daily market and there is cocktail bar directly below where we had the light breakfast (coffee or tea, freshly pressed orange juice and mini-croissants). The location is close to the harbour from where our bike cruise departed. It is about 10 minute walk to the main shopping street.

Didn't like difficulty in communicating with check-in staff, and having to walk up two levels of stairs twice, carrying luggage. There was no elevator (I did not see any remark about this on Wotif). BUT THE CHECK-iN STAFF WERE MARVELLOUS. THEY WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND VERY HELPFUL. They even carried up my wife's luggage on arrival and carried it down at check-out. They made the stay much more enjoyable.
