Well below my expectation, the hotel room was austere & very spartan. Not spacious, and felt cramped. Very dated - reminiscent of the Yugoslavian bygone eras. No small ref - that’s OK, but no ice bucket nor ice dispensers. We had to very inconveniently ask for ice from restaurant. The front desk clerk staff was so-so, especially morning desk staff. Not friendly, not receptive, but not too unpleasant. Again, like a Yugoslavian bygone era, the demeanor was rather cold & unwelcoming. Spartan engagement from the morning desk staff. (Some hospitality training would do). The restaurant-breakfast staff was night & day to the desk staff… the restaurant staff was accomodating, friendly & courteous. The housekeeping staff was above expectation, and as a guest, I felt they had pride in their work. Friendly & efficient too. Parking amenities are quite austere. You ae essentially on your own. And if you’re new in town, to reduce stress… just park in parking garage or parking lot away from the hotel (Use Google Map for hints). In relation to parking, since there is not entry way into the hotel… no opening reception to unload & load. Car, van or bus have to double park with hazard-lights on, which gave the guest an unsafe & rather dangerous setting, as other cars wheeze by. There were some loud jackhammer noices reverberating through the area at 4:30 AM. But in fairness, it’s all over the downtown Rijeka area - as there was massive street construction & renovation going on.

Easy for a business traveller. Simple but good. Parking a bit of a problem. Better have a clear idea of where you are going to park before you get there. There is parkign but you have to know where to find it and how to pay it.

Nice traditional hotel with a great location to city center. A positive option instead of apartments in Rijeka. This hotel is just few blocks to city center where must landmarks and tourist places are located. If you rent a car in Croatia be careful about the car insurance even if you paid for full coverage; they will try to charge you for any minor issues (scratch or minor dents )

Avoid the big parking lot close to this hotel!

There were a bunch if issues that made our stay unpleasant. The room was poorly isolated, we could hear traffic and even people walking outside who were just talking normally (or perhaps a bit louder than normal, but definitely not screaming). Also the night stands are taller than the beds and are right next to the bed: I accidentally hit myself during sleep. If you stay at this hotel, avoid the parking across the street at all costs if you plan to get in or out of it during the day. At night it's fine. We arrived at night and it took us 30 minutes to get out of it the next day, the queueing just to get out was that bad. We even left and came back 2 hours later hoping the situation would improve, but nothing had changed.
